thunderstorms/more rain are headed our way definitely by midnight
I know many teachers and high school principals who have had to contact a parent about their misbehaving kid and the response has been total denial. I don't care if the kid was caught on video, some parents will never believe it true and will accuse the school of picking on sweet little Johnny. So, for a parent to get the news their child is dead and had just robbed a liquor store--and they have no clue Johnny has engaged in such extracurricular activities--I do think they would refuse to believe it and would prefer to believe it is police who are wrong.
Their request for a second autopsy isn't unreasonable in view of the environment they are in.
JMO
Piaget Crenshaw, 19, said she was waiting for a ride to work when she saw a police officer attempting to place Brown in the squad car.
She then said she saw the teen, hands in the air, attempt to flee. Several shots hit Brown as he ran, Crenshaw said.
It is interesting, isn't it? Makes me want to confirm the report that the looters wrote "snitches get stitches" on the QT store that was looted the other night.
Did anyone else just see johnsons lawyer on Justice with Judge J.? He was giving a detailed account of incident per johnson when they lost his sound. He says mb was first shot in chest while fighting officer.
No! That would be awesome. Thanks!you've not seen the pic?
can I post it?
This eye witness account seems off to me.
She says that Brown attempted to flee and then says that he was running. It's unclear to me why she says Brown attempted to flee when, according to her, he did flee.
Is she saying that when Brown had his hands up he tried to flee but was stopped somehow? Is she saying that as Brown ran away from the officer he had his hands up? I guess that's possible but seems a bit strange to me.

They say one of the men pushed the officer into his squad car, then physically assaulted him in the vehicle and struggled with the officer over the officer's weapon. At least one shot was fired inside the car before the struggle spilled onto the street.
IMO the community is doing itself a huge disservice to its young people.
Instead of allowing cool heads prevail, allowing a full investigation they martyred a criminal that behaved inappropriately every step of the way.
This case should/could be a very valuable start of a productive dialogue ....
Instead a criminal is elevated practically to sainthood and labeled a victim.
It's wrong.
Teach your children to obey the law, respect yourself and others, don't take what isn't yours, respect authority, keep your hands to yourself.
Good grief!!!

No way lol. They used that phrase? I haven't heard the term "snitches get stitches" used with any seriousness since about 1990 in Irish South Boston!
And they meant it, and enforced it. So My amusement is not over the threat, but over how dated the phrase seems to my now-old ears!

It was spray painted on the store. I saw it on the news video.
I did not recall him saying the first shot was in the chest as mb was fighting with the officer. that's a far cry from shot in the back while running away. Her show repeats at midnight.eh, heard that last week & it wasn't enough for self defense
aren't Dorian's interviews posted upthread?
I think the community is doing their young people a big disservice by not providing them with accredited schools. There is no excuse for it. An education is a fundamental right of every American kid. This mess wasn't caused by police failures; it was caused by the failure of elected officials.
in recent years, two school districts in North County lost their accreditation. One, Normandy, where Mr. Brown graduated this year, serves parts of Ferguson.
