It might be better than the actual game!

LOL, for the first time ever in my life I'm looking forward to MNF. I never watch sports on tv, but am definitely hoping to see something more than just a game on Oct 13. In a way.

Might be more to see if there are any live cams there like we have been watching in Ferguson...

Hope no one is injured, although if the plans are to disrupt that game, sounds like someone is going out of their way to find trouble.

Are any WSers going to the game?

Just tell me what you want to call him. I'm really not reading that much into it. What do you call someone being investigated by a GJ? I always thought they were a suspect, but I was told that can't be used in reference to OW either. Defendant? If I use SOI ("subject of investigation") is that ok? I'm really lazy and don't want to type out the whole thing every time.

That's the problem with posting on message boards...while you may know what you're thinking, and what your motivation is for saying something, no one else does...and it leads to many more posts, trying to explain your actions (not talking about you here, just speaking from experience!)

Hey! It's hard to keep a hula hoop going....like I would imagine it would be hard trying to keep those pants up around your hips! :D

Second from the bottom. :)

Definitely points out that there are citizens in Ferguson who respect their police department and appreciate Mayor Knowles. The one starting with "COMPLETELY DISBAND ALL THE PROTESTORS" caught my attention too. Reedus had mentioned his friend that went running there had no problems. Clearly that's not the case for all.

Hi, new to the forum

Was wondering did anyone know if the GJ had been sequestered or not?

#Ferguson protestors are seeking @STLouisRams tickets for this Sunday in hopes of disrupting the game http://cbsloc.al/1uLB7a1

Yeah, I'd thought the suggestion the other day that some people give them tickets was a supremely bad idea. I have no respect for people that think these plans to extort citizens and businesses by threat and intimidation is no big deal. This could become violent. The rioters shot at police cars & choppers, etc. It'd be so frightening for people, especially children, to be blocked in or surrounded by angry people whose intention is to intimidate them into compliance with their demands. It's sick and criminal, and I hope anyone that blocks cars or protests within the stadium is arrested. Federal charges might have an impact.

You can tell that from a photograph?

Like I said, I didn't see anything but others did. Much like the video, probably not the best picture to judge and the reason I deferred.

:welcome2:

It was previously reported they heard cases on Wednesday, so it doesn't sound like it.

I had said that but it was more tongue in cheek. Think we had also been talking about the lack of attendance for Rams games. Maybe I'm naive or stupid, but I don't have one ounce of anxiety about going to the game Sunday.

So supposedly these people are all low income/broke, but they can pay for NFL tickets?
ETA

Wow tickets are pretty cheap. I noticed they also have "parking passes only" options as well.

I think they're looking for handouts. If they wanted tickets, they could buy them. There's plenty available out there.

Re: the Rams game threat, unless it's an intentional diversion, it seems astoundingly lacking in foresight or high on arrogance for them to broadcast their plans everywhere, but at least it gives LE and federal agents time to prepare. I don't believe anyone that would follow Shahid anywhere, especially after his arrest for assaulting LE, is intent on nonviolence only, or rational.

Do they think they will be allowed to march onto the field and disrupt the game.... be on tv etc?

They have to announce it so y'all know to tune in and watch and so the cameras will be there. Again, it's not about actually blocking the highway. It's not about actually stopping a football game. It's about making sure their voices are heard. Announcing it insures that regardless of whether they block or stop anything. Not to say I agree or disagree with the tactics, but I just think it's more about making sure they're heard and making sure the cameras get there.

Not a chance. If they even start a chant, they will be drowned out by tens of thousands of fans.
