I don't think the lawyers are onboard with this silly nonsense.

And the "thousands of leaders" from across the country?

I have one more. This is of MBs parents and step-parents during the funeral service. Not sure whose baby Mr. Brown is holding.

The #NOJUSTICENOFOOTBALL moron said he was going to be livestreaming starting at 10am CT tomorrow am. I will be there with my bagel and coffee, ready for the show.

ETA--- make that NOON CT time

Wonder why their fundraising $$$ can't cover the cost of football tickets? Why beg for them to be donated? Surely their deep pocket lawyers & leaders could fund this....

If they wanted to.

Why beg for donations? Maybe it is a tradition?

IIRC, there are 7 sites collecting monetary donations. Each site leads to the family's attorney. It is my understanding that the funds will provide for a higher education for MBs siblings.

The Brown's were on stage during the BET Awards held in Atlanta. They were accompanied by Lost Voices.

And why have a dozen people start taking pictures of your license plate before the incident ever happened, yelling..."I've got it, I've got it." Wouldn't that be considered a conspiracy?

Looks like it to me. Plus assault. Plus, if there was a minor child out there, child endangerment. Plus impeding traffic.

Chanting or screaming political demands does not magically turn conspiracy, assault and child endangerment into a peaceful protest. They were absolutely not peacefully protesting; they were committing assault, at the very least, and possibly conspiracy and child endangerment as well.

Every last one of them in that video should have been arrested.

OK-I need to tread carefully here, so I will present this as a "theory" at this point. I wish I could take credit for the theory, but figured I would at least mention it here and see what you guys think. The "theory" is that it would be quite likely that if OW found himself in a very dangerous situation, there is a strong liklihood that he would use a feature on his body mike that would do 2 things. It would put out an "officer in distress" signal as well as RECORD everything that was said after pressing the mike, due to its lock feature on it.

I read that the same place you apparently did, and I hope it's true, and if true, I hope it recorded audio that is revealing of what actually went on.

I do. Gray even attended that last council meeting and is affiliated with Shahid.

By 9 p.m. Saturday, about 50 protesters remained in front of the police station. They were joined by state Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, as they chanted their intention to vote for Republican state Rep. Rick Stream for St. Louis County executive in the November general election.

I totally agree. Vote Republican, because they'd address this mess real quick, IMO.

(The protestors seem frenetic. Going in a thousand directions. What happened to #writeinmikebrown? To the poster that mentioned the raised one fist, it was reported at least one Black Panther was at the protests yesterday, and that's the Black Power fist.)

The epitome of the Black Power Movement was the Black Panther Party. Founded by Huey P. Newton, Bobby Seale and others, this party justified the use of violence in the accomplishment of black justice.

You can see these thoughts expressed on twitter re: Ferguson, for example Shaun King's tweets.

No time to read today's thread. If this pic has been posted, my apologies.

MB's parents attended the BET Awards in Atlanta last night. Not sure I understand why Mr. Brown is wearing a Tshirt with his pic on it. His ball cap still has the price sticker attached.

Doesn't everybody mourn at awards shows in shades?

In my opinion, nobody has the intestinal fortitude to address this situation, Republican or Democrat. People have been brainwashed, afraid of being called "racist", especially since our AG also identifies himself as a black man who has also suffered - by being stopped by LE, the same as we all have. It's not a matter of Republican or Democrat, rather it about two different mindsets - black and white. Even though the shooting of MB by OW was not about race, the mobs, looters, rioters, race baiters, and money grubbers have made it so.

Until we realize the mob does not want the same things most <modsnip> Americans do, like laws and civilization, this will keep on happening and there cannot be any resolution.

Do I have an answer? Yeah, but it isn't politically correct and I kinda like it here.

My opinion only

These protesters change their tune daily, I can't keep up. Hands up...oops, no. Now it's FIST up and only 1. Not sure how that changed but ok.

They're flexible like that

Dang it, the twins have a birthday party to go to today from 3-5 pm.

I guess I'll be the rude parent on my cell phone :shame:.

Yuppers, folks need to get over the fear of the "R" word. Obviously it can be a real problem for politicians and celebrities, but for average folks? It is just a WORD and who in the heck cares if people want to call you that.

I certainly don't care.

It's a shame that Brown's parents weren't this united when he was alive. Perhaps they could have helped change his life course together if they had been. They should also be taking this opportunity that they have been given (speaking out as the parents of Brown) to help others understand where they/their son went wrong in life and how to make things better for others. Instead they want to stick their heads in the sand and ignore the fact that their son was behaving like a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and going down the wrong road in life, one that leads to prison time instead of one that leads to being a productive member of society. Hopefully this is a wake up call to them and they are working on doing better for the other children they have.
