KloodN, you have the patience of Job for continually taking the time to provide proof of these facts. But sometimes when some ask for proof, they really don't want it if KWIM :blowkiss:

So we have a mention of swelling from Jackson- who qualified that by adding they did not actually see the swelling.

And that is as close we get to an official report. But ya know- the evidence is in!

"The officer was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a "swollen face," Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said, adding he had not personally seen the officer's injury."

Americans are waking up to what exactly?

That a portion of the population is making terroristic threats and expecting to be rewarded for doing so?

The fact is the only direct report of swelling you posted comes from Jackson- who says he did not see it.
So much for facts!

According to these tweets, the person who was hit by the SUV was an intern of Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal.

Was the man purportedly hit by dark Honda SUV the same white dude w shaved head & white t-shirt & tan backpack --
the one in an Argus radio livestream earlier tdy, who was surrounded by 4-5-6 LEOs and 10-12-15 protestors as LEOs tried to cuff him?

So you think the officer was not hurt? And he just rolled up on these 2 teens in broad daylight, in front of a zillion windows, and decided to shoot one of them, for not walking on the sidewalk?

First, I apologize for misinterpreting/ misattributing the statement about the hospital xrays-- I was reading too fast, and the double negatives were confusing. I just wanted to clear up a misconception-- and with all of the other comments-- mission achieved! :)

As to your comment here, about the swollen face, I'm having a very, very hard time understanding why this is such an issue for you? Spokepeople say things all the time without personally being involved in whatever message they are delivering. Why is it so unbelievable that the officer was taken to a hospital with a swollen face?? Do you think he was somehow "faking" the swollen face?? Do you think OW assaulted himself in the heat of the moment, just so he could "pin it on MB?" Where exactly are you going with this line of thought?

I am extremely confused as to why this is even an issue. I can understand if you don't believe MB assaulted OW, but the fact of going to the ER with a swollen face? I don't get at all why that is a sticking point for you. It will so very easily be proven once evidence is released. What possible reason would the police chief have to make that up? Especially if he knew it was false, and would be "discovered"?

I accept that MB is dead from reports of GSW's to the head, and I have not seen the pictures of the GSW's. So exactly how and why are OW's injuries different?

Silly question. The police have confirmed he is dead, dozens of witnesses and family to. No one who saw OW's injuries have actually described them on the record. Jackson described them- but as we know he says he did not see the injuries at all. Interesting he distanced himself that way.

It is not 'distancing' if he was asked and answered truthfully.

He is an intern of Sen Maria C-N?
And as she tweeted 'he was run down by the KKK?'

And she admits through the tweet that the other man sitting on the hood of this person's car is one of her "guys". So there were two interns out there protesting?

DARN. They took down the video where the 'KKK' driver 'ran over all the protestors. It is not on KORG site anymore. Wonder why he took the 'evidence' down?

Lol. You said there were no on the record reports from LE regarding visible injuries. That's not true.

Now you want to further qualify it that what the Police Chief says is only valid if he directly saw it. So, are all statements made by LE invalid in your opinion unless that specific officer directly witnessed it?

I'm not sure why the focus is on visible injury anyway. A swollen face is visible, but facial fractures, internal bleeding, or concussion may not have visible signs, for example. Would they not matter?

A charge of assault on LE doesn't have to involve injury, or even physical contact.
