Crowds are shrinking and from Twitter today, I saw fighting among the activists. Over ego, tactics, etc. That's a good thing in my book. They need to operate within society's laws and wait to hear the results of the investigations and grand jury. There's a process to investigating, and drawing LE and other agencies away to deal with your tantrums slow those processes down. People don't just get to demand they kill a man because they believe false things about him.

They are done- just saw this tweet from argus radio:
Last action was broken up by security before it happened

Well today was a whole bunch of nothing, again.

Interest seems to be waning. It worries me a little because I think people will get more desperate for attention.

I'm thankful that it wasn't worse. I was very concerned if they had a large horde acting violently, getting in front of cars as they have in the past, innocents and law enforcement could be hurt, especially in light of some tweets. Glad LE monitors. Clearly, just being present nipped things in the bud tonight.

Looks like they're standing in front of the beer counter with the stadium in the background.

Rather ironic ...think of all the overtime law enforcement is making !!!!! Now they can catch up on bills, take a nice long vacation....$$&$$$!!!!

Stay safe police and spend wisely;)

My take, the Shahid's of the world are talking about protesting games in October. The Monday night game and play off games for the Cards. Those will carry more media attention. A few wannabe's tried to jump off of that and kick start this weekend and they failed miserably. I will not be surprised one bit to see the professional protesters putting together a true protest in October and they're probably watching these wannabe's to see what the LE response was and how they were handling it.

So Diamond says they went to the stadium to piss people off and make them uncomfortable? :waitasec:

She obviously didn;t get the right memo

I'd suggest giving them "How to Win Friends and Influence People" but people unfamiliar with the expression "800 lb. gorilla" have certainly never heard of Dale Carnegie. It's probably a generational, not black v. white, thing.

What makes me nuts is the double standard. "You must tiptoe around to avoid saying anything I could possibly perceive as "mean to my feels," or I will do everything I can to piss you and everyone else off."

Calling Albert Ellis. This country is in dire need of RETB.

Even "tough" young men don't seem ready for their Big Girl Panties stage. lol

It's not that difficult to get along. Be courteous, judge people by the content of their character, don't jump to assume the worst, and keep focused on the "man in the mirror." :peace:

Cops were ON us tonight at Busch Stadium! They escorted ppl out of Ballpark Village without ANY reason. #Ferguson

Oh, they had a reason all right, sir!

They are outside of their element once they leave north county. The will always lose some effectiveness as soon as they give up the home field advantage. Sounds corny but I think there's some truth to it.

Very low key but visual approach by police worked great imo.

This is also great on the job training for dome security ....
Keep everyone on their toes, strategic planning as if it's a terrorist target.

Security stopped it before it could happen :hilarious:

So that's why that guy on the live feed said they still had the banner.

Wonder if he's up for suggestions on where to 'hang it' "wink"

They don't need a reason frankly.

The one visual approach they had at the football game was cops on segways. I am sorry, but I can't help but laugh anytime I see someone on those things, cops or not. It is just difficult to be intimidating when you're on a segway.

I so agree!
While in Florida once, the development in was staying in...cops drove GOLF CARTS with lights and everything! All I could do was giggle...

I'm local, and while I wasn't at Busch Stadium this evening, I did go to UMSL and participate in the PBS Townhall that was held there this afternoon- "America after Ferguson". It was awesome. Gwen Ifill was the moderator, and there were lots of people on hand- including Sen. Claire McCaskill. Great conversation among locals, and I was thrilled to see people of all ages and races in attendance. PBS will air it this Friday night, if anyone is interested. Check your local listings.
