And of course...one person asking sadly about the reports of imaginary dead boy shot by police? They were SO hoping to have another dead kid to riot over, but instead, looks like just another quiety Sunday.

We're probably going to be hearing about the imaginary dead kid for a while. The haters really do seem to want black people to be killed by police so they can display more outrage and have more excuses to riot.

It was absolutely mindblowing to me last night how quickly and intensely that crowd went into "outrage" mode when they thought the police shot & killed a black suspect. Never mind that the initial (wrong) reports were that the suspect shot the cop then the cop shot the suspect. That part didn't matter at all. They just jumped instantly to "police killed another innocent black kid."

And that shows just how much the facts will matter to them when the GJ evidence is released. No matter what the evidence shows, they're going to riot again. It's going to be ugly. I hope the FPD gets their hands untied before then so that they can deal with it effectively.

The second shooting was an off duty officer, not in uniform, just driving his car on I-70. He wasn't hit by gunfire, but wounded by broken glass.

It is very disturbing because he had his uniform pants on. Was he coming off shift perhaps and they followed, or did they target him? I just cannot believe this was a random victim shooting.

Oh god

FOX news just gave Ferguson update.

"Police officer shot, 2 suspects are being apprehended. It doesn't appear that the shooting is related to the unrest over MBs death last month."

I agree with you. I fear for the officers and their families. I would not feel bad for the city of Ferguson if most officers quit, leaving them to fend for themselves. If fact I kind of hope that is what happens here.

Some shootings info and Faraci's info at GotNews, including "Ferguson protestors called for all concealed weapons carrier to show up and shut Faraci’s Pizza down, the police officer said."

Not sure what they think CCW holders can do, plus those are the folks LEAST likely to start a confrontation at that pizza shop because they could lose their carry license.

It is kind of funny though, they don't dare mess with the angry white guy with a gun (but they had no problem messing with the other store keepers).

I like to think if a bunch of us lived close to Ferguson we would meet up at that pizza place for dinner and show our support (I am sure some here would be up for it too).

I thought from the very beginning that Ferguson, if even on this list, is WAY down the list of reasons for Holder's resigning. That man is up to his eyeballs in scandal. Ferguson isn't even on his radar. He just threw them a bone on this whole thing and pretty much walked away from it.

IA. Although his involvement may end up being a black mark on his "legacy" I'm guessing the recent ruling against fast and furious is more likely the reason for his departure.

OTH however, it had been announced that he would step down earlier in the year, so the timing on this could very well be completely related to political maneuvering.

IMO

Of course not.... but I bet if a protester was shot it would be the big mean LE being aggressive with the nice sweet peaceful protesters.

We saw a lot of people going into that pizza restaurant last night. They have not let the protestors stop them or keep them away. What we saw were a handful of people protesting and not the majority of the citizens who live in Ferguson. We also had a good understanding of how fast information on an event gets quickly distorted and hardly recognizable to what actually happened in this situation. I imagine, even today, that there are those that believe a youth was killed last night and that LE is trying to hide the fact. How is this related to what is a reality in reports of misconduct by LE in Ferguson? It just appears from observation we all made last evening that there is a dislike for the laws and those that enforce those laws in this community. jmo

I would have been there and making pizza runs for everyone I know.

:sigh:

Morning all. What a sickening turn of events. Not surprising though.

FWIW the treehouse has a number of videos posted. I don't have the stomach to watch.

betty,
I only read to catch up...I couldn't watch last night's event either.
