He is fanning the flames big time. I wish Al Sharpton would just stop. This is just ridiculous. IMO

THAT is Al's job. His "fanning the flames" means he is still relevant and will remain notorious and rich for his work. If there were no racial tensions, Al would be out of a job. He can't afford to allow racially-spurred situations, such as this one, to calm down. Think about it.

this was the scanner feed on the day he was shot. a lot of the talk before the shooting was there. It happened in the last part of the feed where they were dispatched to a robbery.

it's not false, the Chief said it, then miraculously a BOLO came a minute later and Wilson then backed up due to seeing the description and approached DJ and MB..

I don't post false information, I just might not be on the side of the fence you or anyone else sits..

Isn't Dorian Johnson's story that Ofc. Wilson passed them, then backed up to them and when he tried to open his door MB or DJ pushed it closed, then Wilson reached out the (driver's side) window, grabbed 6'4" MB's huge neck and attempted to pull him into the car through the same driver's side window? If that's correct, Wilson didn't "approach" the 2 guys until the gun went off in the car during a struggle and the 2 guys skedattled.

Ferguson police officer was 'doing his job', say supporters

6cc3268d-3c27-4f44-9bc1-7857eb667017-460x276.jpeg

“He was doing his job,” said Kaycee Reinisch, 57, of Lincoln County, Missouri. “And now because of public uproar in Ferguson, he is being victimised. He is being victimised by the whole city, the state and the federal government.” Reinisch said she had relations in law enforcement who would be “frightened to do their jobs” if Wilson were punished for the incident.

At live feed, St louis county police are going to the back of their vehicles and are grabbing extra weapons. Putting gas masks to their side. Some guy is narrating the live feed for those watching

I don't think Eric Holder, head of the DOJ, is going to bring in the Natl Guard. He is more likely to bring in caterers for the protestors, imo.

The mobile station where protestors are assembling are closing the gas station, turning lights off, and closing everything down, in fear of protestors.

I hope he WAS trying to throw that incompetent department under the bus. Because you can be darn sure that Johnson being put in charge by the higher ups is setting HIM to be the fall guy. He needs to protect himself from whatever eventual fallout comes his way.

The Ferguson Police Department in its entirety is incompetent? I've seen no evidence of that at all. How could Johnson be a fall guy? He works for another government agency entirely. He's not going to be the one expected to patrol the streets of Ferguson after the media leaves.

All we know so far is that a Ferguson officer stopped two men walking in the street and told them to get on the sidewalk and they refused. One of the men has confirmed that much. It's quite a leap to say the officer was incompetent. Sounds to me he was just doing his job.

A couple of things:

1) We are not going to allow links to blogs in this case without prior approval. And approvals will be tough to get.

2) Posts directed at other posters rather than the case will earn a TO without explanation. If you have a problem with another member, use the alert feature and scroll on by OR use the ignore feature and keep it to yourself

Reminder!!!

We're reviewing a blog right now. Please submit them to admin ahead of time so we don't have a bunch of members wondering what happened to their posts. Thanks so much!

Yes, that's his story, but he first approached them when they were walking in the street and according to friend said "get the eff on the sidewalk" and kept driving. Second approach was when he backed up seconds after passing them and tried to exit the car but couldn't, then ricochet door, then scuffle. According to DJ's version

Police are closing roads so they can march.

Ok, what did I just listen to? Cause I apparently missed it:/

I listened too and heard nothing about a robbery or a shooting. At the end there was a request for crowd control but no reason heard on the audio. Granted this audio is released by "Anonymous" so I would question its validity.

ITA. Imagine the good they could do. Sad.

Some people believe protesting what they see as an injustice IS doing good. Protests have led to better labor laws, an end to segregation, helped sway public opinion on the Vietnam war, helped being attention to many, many issues over the years.

If you are looking for more "concrete" good, look through twitter using the #ferguson tag. Many good pics and interviews with just regular folks who come out in the mornings after the protests and the later trouble to clean up. Regular folks who protested the day or evening before helping clean up looted stores. Folks who lined up to protect businesses.

Many of these stories you won't find in MSM. For these and more long-term-good try hitting some of the indie black media. There is great reporting out there of great stories at community level. Just because the public doesn't see or hear them doesn't mean they aren't happening!

It's okay! We just like to get them sent for prior approval so it doesn't cause confusion. :blowkiss:

My prediction is that the downfall of Johnson will continue now that aome peoe hear he actually has sympathy for MBs family, and can relate to the many experiences of young black men who have been hassled by LE, no matter what social class, educational level, they are.

There is NO EVIDENCE Officer Wilson "hassled" anybody. He told two men to get out of the street and use a sidewalk.

Really? "A disgrace" for saying he's sorry their son was killed?

From his use of the word "sorry" it sounded like Johnson was giving an apology not simply expressing regret:

"Johnson began by apologizing to Brown’s family. “I wear this uniform, and I should stand up here and say that I’m sorry,”

If he said to the family "I am sorry for your loss" that would be OK as it would simply be an expression of regret. To offer an apology on behalf of LE because he "wear(s) this uniform" is to imply wrongdoing on the part of Officer Wilson which is IMO very unfair to the Officer and his family.
