Protestors have blocked cars... which is causing a traffic jam. I am sure police will be called in soon

I wonder if the people having the silent protest for the police officer are doing that? Or if they're shooting at people?

What I don't understand is why the tear gas and smoke is being shot towards the media. I mean I am not following this closely and I agree if people are being violent or doing something wrong def step in but I also think that the police are just out of control too.

It was illegal to steal them.

It's also illegal to detain an innocent man without explaining his charges, beating him, and charging him with getting blood on officers clothes. It's perjury to sign a complainant that the man got blood on his clothes (the property damage charges) and then denying that any blood was transferred onto his clothing in his deposition. Weird how there's been a few Ferguson police slip ups against black men.

It is. However if people are protesting quietly and not looting or rioting they should be allowed to do that as well too!

Unfortunately, the protesters have shown themselves to be unable to be a peaceful, cohesive group that is not endangering people, destroying property, fighting and behaving lawlessly. They are chaotic, unpredictable and thousands in damage has been done to businesses and honest hard working people's way of life is being destroyed and disrupted by the negative elements that are in with the protesters. There are quite a few rabblerousers who probably care nothing for the cause but are just itching to cause problems, loot, disobey in every way possible. This is not an organized, peaceful and cohesive effort. This is chaos and somebody if going to get hurt, possibly killed but I guess that is ok because some people think their "rights" trump every other person's.

Media are supposed to be wearing their press credentials in a prominent place so police can see them. If they don't they'll be treated no differently than anybody else.
