I saw a story that said all those that have been arrested live within a 5 mile radius of where the rioting is happening. I will see if I can find it.

St. Louis County contains dozens of small cities. Some are so tiny you almost don't realize you just went through them. I live just under 13 miles from my Dad's house and we once for fun tried to figure out how many cities I have to drive through to get home and I think we got to over 20 without looking at a map but we could have missed some! Dallas is not within a five mile radius though. One arrestee was from there.

I doubt that's the reason, I think it runs deeper than that for some. It's obvious to me...

Neither of those witnesses came in contact with each other. If you can show me they did, I'll rethink my position..

I think the gang up feeling is due to not believing the blue wall of silence infiltrated the officers account of things, not all police can be trusted. Some have indeed falsified their reports to back their fellow officer. The timing of the store video, with the incident report is too coincidental to me..

I hope the autopsy report is released...
I think if you hope the autopsy will clear things up, you could be disappointed.

Anybody know the website so we can look up who hasbeen arrested for the looting/riots?

BBM. Officers are not trained to shoot to disable, they are trained to shoot to stop the threat of harm. Their first duty is to protect their own life and that of the public, not the fleeing, dangerous suspect. We still don't know how many shots were fired that actually struck Brown.

JMO

The fact that multiple rounds were shot hasn't been disputed. I'm not a cop and I don't know what they are or are not taught. He was unarmed. I'd think wayyyy differently if he had a weapon on him, but he didn't. When you say dangerous to the public, I think of someone with a knife, gun, or intent to harm. Stealing doesn't make him a threat to society, IMO. Teens steal all the time (Not that stealing is okay!) He had no criminal record, let alone any warrants. We don't even know if he was fleeing from the cop because of the robbery. Witness testimonies vary and that's about all we have to go on as to what took place leading up to the shooting.

Very interesting comment under that map link that Popsicle posted. (Comment by VE-AG on August 12)

He should have been arrested right then and there as the co-suspect in the robbery BUT at that point in time police had not viewed the video which clearly identified both MB and DJ as the perps. JMO

Hi sleuthers,
I believe the tape showed Dorian J returning the cigarettes to the counter and police said he would not be charged. That what I heard on news. Which of course, I went back and watched again- it shows Dorian doing just that. Also, Police chief said the cigars were found on the body during a press conference.
JMO, but what chief said

Those guilty of looting on the first few nights are mostly the fine citizens of Ferguson (MOO). The numbers of the trouble makers has grown with each passing night because as suggested above, now people are actually travelling from other areas in order to loot, create mayhem and stir up violence (also MOO).

How would we know if he had a record since he is a juvenile?

When deadly force is justified - officers are trained to aim for the center mass of the attacker - i.e. chest area. They are not trained to shoot attackers in the feet so as to inflict survivable injuries. The objective is to kill (hence the term "deadly force"). We don't know how many shots were fired but having seen video's of similar shootings it does not take very long for an officer in a life or death situation to squeeze off 8 rounds of gunfire. It happens in mere seconds.

Oh okay. I didn't know that! Thank you! :)

Because the agenda is to appease not truth, not justice.

I fear for that officer, I think there are quite a few in power that would simply love to hand him over to the angry mob. It makes their job easier than finding the truth and dealing with the fallout.

How will the community react if the shooting is deemed justifiable ????

BBM
I have a very good suspicion/idea how the community will respond, given their behavior during the *ahem* "protesting".

He was 18 which would be when things begin to go on record... His attorney said he had no prior misdemeanors or felonies.

Someone asked this wayyyy back and we sort of laughed it off, but where WERE the cigarillos? Are there any splattered around the body or somewhere on the street? They've gotta be somewhere, lol. JMO

I believe I heard they were in his pocket

I just heard Mr Crump say something VERY interesting to the crowd, while standing with MB's parents at the rally.

I'd like to see it gain, but he said, almost in a warning tone, to the crowd:

" Now YOU all are going to hear some talk about young Michael Brown in the next few days...and do not let it distract us from the truth/...."

I am paraphrasing, but that is the essence. It sounded to me like he was warning folks about another shoe about to be dropped. Maybe the tox results or the autopsy?

Exactly, CYA mode.

Trying to get in front of something.

He was a suspect in a strong-arm robbery. His body was his weapon, hence the term "strong-arm." He used force, intimidation to steal something. Not typical teen behavior, imo. He assaulted a store clerk and a witness phoned 911. He assaulted a police officer in the face and struggled for his weapon. He resisted arrest. So, yes, that makes him a threat to the public.

You know, if the shot to the forehead is true, it could have happened while Mike was falling to the ground after already being shot. This isn't a movie. When LE has to fire on a suspect, especially one who was assaulting him and trying to take his weapon, they don't shoot once and say, "Hmmm, I wonder if that will stop him?".
They are trained to eliminate the threat and keep shooting, sometimes until their weapon is empty.

Yeah, and just days ago he was a quiet, gentle giant on a lovely little stroll to grandmas house....when he was gunned down for no reason
