Why? Please explain why you would post this?
I'm asking because I don't understand. I thought that martial law and curfew was to begin again tonight at midnight USA mountain time. Has that been changed?
I am under the impression that curfew means to go home and stay there.

Because I am a supporter of non-violent resistance such as sit-ins. I disagree with the curfew. I would like to see a community empowered and acting in solidarity in protest.

Protestors have blocked cars... which is causing a traffic jam. I am sure police will be called in soon

And that is a reason why reporters doubted that the Ferguson PD was forced to release the robbery report because reporters were asking for that report via FOI requests. How could they request documents of things they didn't know about?

(respectfully snipped)

There is another reason why the claim that it was released because of a FOIA request is, to put it politely, disingenuous: LE knows perfectly well that they do not need to release information like this during an open investigation. So claiming that it was because of the FOIA is hogwash.

Thanks! :)

I'm saying Dorian was already talking about the cigars long before the police did. I am questioning the veracity of what the police chief said after three tries on Friday: that Wilson suspected that MB and DJ might be the cigar thieves. I mean, the cigar robbery news shocked everyone on Friday--no one seemed to have known of such a robbery. And that is a reason why reporters doubted that the Ferguson PD was forced to release the robbery report because reporters were asking for that report via FOI requests. How could they request documents of things they didn't know about?

Just because police didn't mention something doesn't mean they didn't know about it. The cigar heist was captured on security video and it was reviewed within minutes by the responding police officer. I'm betting that officer knew about the 911 call before Dorian did.

I'm typically opposed to curfews, as well.

But in this situation, with so much property damage, looting, and several gunshot victims, I think a midnight - 5 a.m. curfew is in the best interests of public safety.

Do you believe that the robbery video should have been withheld, kept secret?

Yes, it means just that. I think the plan is to make arrests of anyone who refuses. Tough luck if that person also lives in public housing. And that could be why they are doing this. Playing nice and baiting them so they can be arrested.

It surprised most peeps but not everybody. Dorians atty said he was told about it BEFORE Dorian even retained him.* Word on the street was out already that the victim had been involved in an incident in the liquor store very soon after the shooting.

Oh, yes. After the robbery video was released on Friday, both the lawyers for MB and DJ basically agreed that MB had committed that robbery.

But those are the lawyers. When did the general public first hear about the cigars? That was the initial question in my post: Why did the police not mention the cigars, even though Dorian had mentioned them from the start?

Molotov cocktails being thrown at police. Tactical units on scene. Please leave the area!

The police didn't mention the cigars until they released the video. It wasn't illegal for Brown to possess cigars. He was 18.

Here is an allowable link to the Ferguson witness video. We are not going to allow the political blogs. You can use this link to analyze and discuss activity on the video. Be sure to save this link so you guys can find it when you need it. :)
