I know this is probably terribly politically incorrect, but isn't he bi-racial? If you are bi-racial, do you identify yourself as one race or another?

It's a personal choice. IMO

'Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon says no curfew will be in place early Tuesday morning in Ferguson, and the National Guard keeping watch there will have immediate and limited" responsibilities.'

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/storie...L_GUARD?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

"limited responsibilities??" So, the call in the National Guard so they have the manpower, but they will have limited power? Are they going to tie their hands? The local LE aren't even going to have a curfew!!

I hear you.
What I heard is that It was DORIAN that went for the gun first. And if this is the case, Why is that guy not in jail or under arrest for his part in this situation.

Im still torn but I have to work backwards in cases like this.

I think the worst is trying to weed through the mess of reporting and grandstanding to get to the truth.

Link please to where you "heard" Dorian went for the gun first

What does pot have to do with it? Pot didn't shoot Brown. Pot is less harmful than alcohol. Pot had nothing to do with this kid being gunned down. The aggressor is the one with a lethal weapon that is able to kill when the victim is out of arms reach. Why is it always so different when it's a white cop or white person killing a black person? We don't become outraged when a white cop/person kills a white person or if the black cop/person kills a black person. Don't feel bad for the cop...he always had the control..he had the lethal weapon. ^i^

I wish someone that the protesters trust (maybe Ron Johnson) would clearly explain to the people how police shooting investigations work. They seem to think that the officer should be arrested for murder immediately (as they believe they would be). It may be frustrating, but they need to understand there is a procedure that has to play out, they need to hear THIS and that the investigation IS ongoing and that justice IS NOT being denied.

Good point, Phoebeb!

I keep seeing this fought over the weapon, where is the proof? No other witness saw that, Wilson states that but is it the truth? Or is it just words to justify the killing?

I think we will see some evidence of that forthcoming. There are reportedly pictures of the officers injuries, showing he was punched in the face. And during the presser this morning, the attorneys winced when Baden mentioned the officers injuries, when asked if there was any signs of a struggle.

There is at least one witness who has said that both the men were in the cop car at one point. They were fighting. I cannot imagine them fighting in such close quarters and NOT struggling over the gun.

Exactly, because if someone is in a state of mind to attack an armed LEO, what might they do to an innocent, unarmed citizen? (And in this case, we KNOW what this person would do...strong-arm robbery). IMO the LEO had an obligation to protect the public from a loose cannon, and he did.
Yep, and if Big Mike would have gotten away after committing all those crimes and hurt or killed someone, the cop would have been blamed for that too.

Can't win for losing.

There is no doubt in my mind that Wilson had to kill MB to save his own life and probably other lives as well. He was dangerous.

IMO if LE doesn't start getting some political support real soon, I see no reason for then to stay!

There is so much CRAP being circulated that's blatantly lies and fabrications it's overwhelming.

Like the notion, Brown if fleeing, should not have been pursued after struggling for an officers gun and striking him in the face.

Or law enforcement is hiding or covering up because they aren't releasing everything.

Or bodies does often lay for hours

So, here goes, I'm am outing myself here but as I am never planning to run for political office, so what. 'Back in the day,' I may have tried pot *and*inhaled, and it....did not make me peaceful or lethargic. Mind you, it didn't make me violent or aggressive, but it DID cause me to have panic attacks and paranoia which never led to anything but embarrassment for me because for one reason I never wanted to be around LE while partaking and for another I didn't use for long because of these side effects. But my point is, you cannot just say that an intoxicating substance has exactly the same effect on every person who partakes of it, and you only have to spend a very minimal amount of time at a bar, beer fest, music festival, etc., to know this. Substances affect different people differently, the point is, they can change your normal response to the world around you in one way or another, and that's all I'm going to say about that.

The people who want to protest are not interested in being talked out of it. There were literally thousands of protesters who demonstrated against the Iraq War. Chicago police had no problem rounding them up and arresting 800 people. My husband had a very difficult time trying to talk our son out of joining in the throngs who shut down Lakeshore Dr. He finally succeeded when he told him a police record never goes away and it wasn't worth it. So he watched it unfold from a friend's apartment.

Oh My Lord. NOW the UN wants to get involved.

Well....maybe the U.N. has more sense than the majority of Americans?

I kind of think it is impossible for them to have LESS sense.

IMO.

Study Sheds Light on Marijuana and Paranoia

July 17, 2014 -- An in-depth investigation has concluded that people who smoke marijuana are much more likely to have paranoia than people who don't use the drug.

The study also identifies psychological factors that can lead to feelings of paranoia in people exposed to the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, THC.
