If that's true, then the officer's friend who is supposedly telling his side is lying. She said that MB was taunting the officer when he was running and saying What, you gonna shoot me...MB wouldn't have said that if he has already been shot.

Not necessarily. If the gun went off accidentally, it was not really a shooting. MB could have said something very similar. Maybe he said " What, u gonna shoot again?'

He said it is confirmed.

He who? There are a lot of Charles Johnson/s out there. The one who writes for The Daily Caller blog doesn't show that news on his twitter stream when I just checked.

That is huge - just huge - it matches his lunging the store clerk, it matches officers version, and it is congruent with pictures of him online engagin in gang signing. A picture of an angry kid is not emerging? Would anyone think his store behavior was not aggresssive.

Would one conclude that the event happened very shortly after he already demenstrated that he was agitated,

What the juv record might show would even add credence to his fear surrounding possibly being arrested for shoplifting which would explain his aggression toward a LE.

BUT one would have to find out if there is any credibility to the report in Mis as it relates to releasing a juv criminal record - in many locations that requires lots of stuff! But it might be legal in Miss I dont know.

But wouldnt he be in Juvie if he had been arrested for 2nd degree murder?

arrested
charged
tried
convicted

all different.

if MB was arrested for the crime of 2nd degree murder it is entirely possible that he made a deal, snitched, not enough evidence was found to charge him with accomplices or something similar.

Details on arrests, peaceful protesters vs. non-peaceful ones etc. Many of the looters arrested are from Illinois and Texas. I hope they catch them all and make a Facebook page with all the details. SMH....

DeAndre Smith, fresh from looting the QuikTrip on a recent night, told reporters: “I’m proud of us. We deserve this, and this is what’s supposed to happen when there’s injustice in your community. St. Louis — not going to take this anymore.”

Edit- bad link, I'll post a working link in a moment.

The protests in Ferguson, Missouri, over the shooting of Mike Brown are being watched more than 6,000 miles away -- in the Middle East. Meanwhile, some demonstrators in the St. Louis suburb have taken cues from the Arab Spring protests that swept Egypt and much of the Arab World four years ago, holding up “Negro Spring” signs as they vent their anger over the killing of the unarmed black teenager

the racial tensions are not high enough one must stir in religious ones as well?

Thanks tlcya, article also says some protesters maybe getting coaching through twitter. No words. Jmo

ciao

ignorance at its finest.

No, I don't believe it is "ignorance". I believe it is a mindset among a certain segment of our population.

My guess would be radically different- that is why family history matters IMO

But we dont know yet if the arrest/charges are even true. We should stand down until it is confirmed/verified.

Just my thoughts here ; but it looks like Trayvon's mother thinks some people, mostly lawmakers/law enforcement, don't care that their young sons are dead.

That is not true. NO ONE is celebrating their deaths. I'm not.
Any time a person dies in the manners of these young people, is not a cause to rejoice. It is sad, and I'm thinking about what might have been.
What if different choices had been made ; and different paths followed ?

And to those looting, whether they are from Ferguson or St. Louis or elsewhere --- shame on you ! You looters are tearing down the very fabric of society that you feel owes you something. (--speaking to looters and other violent acts, not the peaceful protesters !)
There. I said it.
Apologies if this post comes off as harsh and unforgiving.
:moo:

edited to add : Sorry, my links aren't working ---will try again
Still , links aren't working . No idea what's wrong here. :(

Ugggh, is anyone else getting close to OVER this nonsense? Unfortunately I can't look away, but I'm just exhausted at these protests and demands and utter ignorance coming out of Ferguson and all the folks involved.

I believe I need to take a break from coverage until all the facts come out-- the officer's story, MB's record, other survellance cameras-- basically the full investigation. There has to be a reason why the PD investigation facts aren't coming out-- I hope it's to show in clear terms what happened.

Between the attorneys, the looters, the leaches (Sharpton, et al), Obama and Holder, this has turned into a kabuki theater show.

I predict when all evidence is shown, either it will out-right clear the officer or there won't be enough evidence to convict. My only fear is that the community will turn all cray-cray again, or my hope is they'll be exhausted by that time.

I wish I could believe it was ignorance, but it seems to be more like a way of life for many.

Trying to find out. I'm not getting the impression that he's mainstream media (like LA Times), though, so although he's apparently working hard on it, and says there's going to be a hard time in the court today, I don't think he's going to pass the creds for tweetable people here. I have no idea who he confirmed it with.

We need to be careful... Keep digging, but it would be bad to get this wrong...
