That was one part of town. Meanwhile, chaos reigned in another part of town.

Debin you are not alone it is very confusing - like going from Tim to cnn and then --- at one point I got so lost I could not tell if I was seeing something from some other night --- all the fireworks start to look alike

and that SWAT truck with that beep- beep cr#p is enough to make anyone go nuts --- its is scary sound

you are not alone.............................

This other shooting is not good at all. No matter what the facts are, this is just going to fuel the fire in that area even more.

:therethere:

Yes, I watch him too. It really is hard to get a full picture by watching any one stream, reporter or twitter feed though. These "protesters" are spread out into a couple groups/areas every night. A part of them seemed to be very organized last night as well. jmo

I had several feeds up ( Tim had been on for about 45 minutes by the time I was able to settle in to watch). From the point I started watching till almost the end the cops seemed mostly organized. Didn't things happen on both ends though. I thought they were being pushed back to the media area b/c of gun shots ( when Tim and the rest had to take cover) and then in the presser Johnson said something about someone causing issues near where the reporter area was. Seems like they got smashed in. So for that I think they ( the cops) should have communicated better but for the most part it was way better then past nights.

One of the things I have taken away from what I have seen is that even though the "stop" of MB and friend may not have immediately been because of the theft and assault at the convenience store, the tape does show his demeanor overall. To me it was not his first time of using his size to intimidate and do what he wanted.

To me it is shameful the way this shooting has been used as a guise to demonstrate about race when there is no evidence of it. There were witnesses in the first few days that stated MB was shot in the back. There is no evidence of that, however it fed the frenzy of the crowd. Even the family attorney is using language that MB was "executed" and to my knowledge there is no evidence of that. However the crowd to a degree will "trust" his words when in fact he has an agenda, IMO.

IMO when the chant is "No Justice No Peace" is holding Justice hostage. If you do not QUICKLY give us what WE determine Justice, we will continue the violence and tear up property until then. And all this before an investigation is complete. The idea that the DOJ is called in from day 3 of an investigation is uncalled for when there is yet to be proof of impropriety.

It has been criticized that MB's body lay in the street for 3-4 hours. That was done to allow criminal investigators to arrive and process the scene. It is done all over the US daily. Had his body been removed prior to proper CI to do their work, evidence could have been destroyed. Local knew right away the scrutiny that was coming. They took "hands off" the initial investigation to wait for FBI and County CI, and are being criticized for it.

I wondered about that, as well. If they have to go to work in the a.m. ; how on earth are they finding energy to cause all of that mayhem at night ??? Crazy.

RE: " I don't know about the repeat offender laws there, but it seems he was one."

Based on what?!

"St. Louis County Prosecutor's office confirmed that Brown had no prior misdemeanors or felonies against him."

There are numerous news statements attesting to Michael's lack of criminal record - Google is your friend.

Little humor break ... Y'all watching last night likely saw yellow-shirted Malik Shabazz, megaphone in hand, roaming the street calling for calm? But did you also notice the unknown little ninja guy dogging his footsteps, putting himself right behind Shabazz as he moved, perhaps to remain out of his line of sight but in full view of cameras? In the beginning of this video, you can see the ninja peeking over Shabazz' shoulder during an interview:

BMM

And here I spent all night referring to Shabazz as "the dude in the yellow shirt with the bull horn." Shabazz would have been much easier to type (albeit much easier to misspell at those hours of the day).

It truly is non civilized behavior - but IMO the disenfranchized reach a certain point Gaza Iraq Iran all the same core socitial issues IMO

Actually Iran is quite polite, far more polite than the U.S.

It isn't all about fear either, it is their culture. I was impressed when I visited Iran.
