Protest planned for Thurs., the 21st, 11 am in Clayton to call for the removal of St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch #ferguson

I feel sorry for McCulluch. The main reason he is supposed to be 'removed' from this case seems to be because his father was shot in the line of duty by a black man. Since when do we penalize and punish someone because their parent is a crime victim?

I think there is no conclusive evidence nor conclusion as stated by LE. <modsnip>

Perhaps a better question is, what evidence makes you think Officer Wilson used excessive force? I ask, because we've pretty much disqualified the witnesses (conclusion based on the silence that met the examples of their testimony). Without the witnesses, what else is there?

Cnn just said that 6 black people have been shot by police in all of the country this year.

I would like to know how many died in gang shotings.
I am 100 percent positive it is more than 6.

Why not protest that?

Exactly! And his attorney has not been seen on any media I have seen today...

No doubt he was scared. Which is why the FBI went door-to-door. Holder's press release indicates new witnesses have now been interviewed. Telling the truth might be the best thing to happen to Mr. Johnson and his family in a long time. He already showed he has a conscience. He wouldn't take the cigars.

Hubby made an interesting observation this evening

He said that he kept wondering why people around the Ferguson MO area really didn't recognize MB. He then connected his age of 18 with aging out of juvie and wondered if that's why no one knew him around the area...

Just my hubby wondering out loud...

I think what they meant is that DJ lied and MB did assault DW. So there is no way the GJ will be able to indict due to the laws.

The report claims that DJ has admitted to investigators that MB struck DW and fought for the gun, i.e. he changed his previous statements. This seems believable to me because DJ made statements previously to the media (and I presume police) that have now been proven false. He claimed that MB was shot in the back which has been proven false by the autopsy report. I suspect that his attorney probably advised him that he was in serious legal jeopardy for making false statements and probably arranged immunity from prosecution in exchange for making a full confession.

If in fact this is what has happened it seems strange to me that a GJ was convened. Not even the proverbial "ham sandwich" could get indicted with this set of facts.

Given the source of this information - a local (albeit small) media outlet - I think we can give weight to this report.

I went back to FB page and read a lot of the comments. Wow, it does sound like they had prior knowledge of the autopsy report and if they know DJ was admitted MB was going for the gun, the state has no case- now I get it!
If true, I am not surprised that DJ would tell the truth to avoid charges. He seems like the more cautious one anyway, remember he put the box of cigars back rather than steal them from the Ferguson Market video?
Maybe he is good and has a conscience. But his lies if he lied caused a whole lot of trouble.Riots everything. Very sad.

When did I say such a thing? NEVER!

I only said that, in accordance with Mod statements, the investigation is still open, so all speculation is within TOS, excepting the families.

There has been no evidence, either, that MB needed killing. Until the investigation is complete and statements are issued, I will just keep refreshing and reading.

Many here have called MB a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and a criminal. Yes. It appears he stole cigars. But again, we can only speculate so far.

Again, in another case, a white boy, only a few months younger than MB, brutally rapes and murders a little girl and we MUST find a reason. He was abused, injured, etc.

But for MB, being black is enough to explain his (?) crime. Which was not raping a little girl to death.

I like how they choose the statistics to throw out there without any other info. <sarcasm>

I saw the video of the poor heavy set man choked to death in New York and feel THAT was excessive force by a police officer and that police officer was guilty of the bare minimum of manslaughter. So when I heard this story, I thought, oh here we go again...until I watched the information come in...it is painfully obvious and clear to anyone paying any attention that this is FAR from what was first served up to us by initial reports. The initial story was of an unarmed teenager innocently walking to his grandmas that was gunned down as he had his hands in the air, begging for his life. But almost every portion f this story has been ruled out. He was far from a "Gentle Giant" as clearly shown in the video. He was shot in the front, not in the back. Witnesses have been corroborating the cops story more and more. The guy was bumrushing the cop. At the very least, it should be incumbent upon ANY responsible person in the media or government to literally tell everyone to shut up and go home and let justice take its course. But there is so much invested in this already, that there seems to be no turning back, and this is no longer about this young man, or this poor cop. It never will be. Everyone take a breath! Go home. Let the world take a turn. Let the justice system do its job. Let people like the Governor of Ohio shut up and Eric Holder to STAY OUT OF IT!!! But they just can't help themselves, can they? Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, even Obama, just cannot stay out of it, and God forbid they tell the masses that there is a better than good chance that they are WRONG!!! No one is even interested in hearing any of the evidence. Even the governor wants this cops head on a platter - prosecuted to the full extent of the law. With absolutely not a shred of evidence presented in any court of law whatsoever??? It is so irresponsible and this has become an out of control situation careening toward a full blown catastrophe if some cooler heads don't get in there and prevail! ENOUGH!!!!

MB is a named suspect in a crime. The Chief said charges would not be filed against DJ.

Link please. Mods have stated no suspects have been named in this case, which is why everyone is fair game.

Thanks.
