I can be objective - in this shooting I think this is excessive. Its a bullet - it can fire in what a millisecond , before blasting him he should have gotten closer

I suppose I'm an old fart and ole school but I remember the westerns where the Marshall could shoot the gun out of their hand. If a perpetrator has a knife in their hand, and there is time to focus why not shoot the perpetrator in the arm and hand to disarm them? LE has to go to gun ranges on a regular basis I believe. Maybe instead of focusing on head shot and chest shot being the accuracy score, possibly accuracy on other parts of the anatomy. To me looking at yesterday's event seems more wrong than the MB event.

Those sound like wise words. Are the mobs in Ferguson being skeptical of everything, or just anything including the words, "justifiable" and "LEO"?

There are always two sides to every story, and many times, the truth lies somewhere in between. I am still waiting to hear the LEOs account of what happened. While I'm pretty sure what happened, I wouldn't mind apologizing to everyone if I find I am wrong.

However, other than Vulture is anyone posting here live or familiar with the area? I am not sure what we can do to help inform in the local populace.

Even in your post your use words like mob, others use or other words in an attempt to push the narrative or perspective in a certain direction. You and others may not have chosen those words for this effect, but they have that subconscious impact to readers. Words, as much as we like to think are neutral, tend to carry some baggage with them if they are continuously used to convey a certain message.

I am not certain how this story will play out, other than there will be a trial and the officer will be acquitted (unless he gets a very unfavorable trial venue) based on the information as I understand it at the moment. I think Nixon will at some point realize or fear there will not be a grand jury. If has any more political ambition, which I think he does, he will reach a political choke point and be forced to appoint a special prosecutor.
