Thunderstorm and low turnout makes tonight's livestream look unlikely, but anything could happen. @vicenews #Ferguson

This new witness was in his apartment about a block away from the incident. When he heard a commotion he looked out his window and saw MB beside the cruiser engaged in some kind of struggle. He was very vague on what the struggle actually entailed. I think he was too far away to see in great detail.

He then saw the officer get out of his squad car and MB started running down the street (presumably away from the officer although it is not clear and Anderson being the lousy reporter he is did not request clarification). At that point the witness claims the officer fired two shots. He was not sure if these two shots struck MB.

At this point the witness decided to go outside to get a closer look. He lives in a two-floor walk-up apartment so I don't know how long it would take for him to get downstairs and outside.

When the witness got outside he saw MB in a crouched position with his arms clutching his his stomach (not in the air!) taking steps TOWARDS the officer. At that point the officer fired the fatal head wounds.

I don't think this new witness account is very significant because he did not see what happened in the crucial seconds before the head shot because, as mentioned, the witness was making his way from his second floor apartment to the outside. CNN's Jeffrey Toobin stupidly called this newest eyewitness account a "bombshell".

Although there were some problems with his story, this is one more witness version to consider. Too bad AC is such a poor reporter. So many more questions he could have asked.

Are these glass bottles? What are those ones with the gasoline and rags called? Some kind of bomb? Even if not, glass bottles are weapons. That's not cool. :(. Crazy.

Molotov cocktails

I suppose I'm an old fart and ole school but I remember the westerns where the Marshall could shoot the gun out of their hand. If a perpetrator has a knife in their hand, and there is time to focus why not shoot the perpetrator in the arm and hand to disarm them? LE has to go to gun ranges on a regular basis I believe. Maybe instead of focusing on head shot and chest shot being the accuracy score, possibly accuracy on other parts of the anatomy. To me looking at yesterday's event seems more wrong than the MB event.

JMO

I know for a fact that LE only shoots to kill. They do not fire warning shots or shots to scare. If a police officer takes their gun out, it is to kill.
That is what has been taught in the academy for as long as I can remember.
People have to understand that they take threats seriously and will respond with deadly force; hence the "enforcement" in law enforcement.

They are not the boyscouts.
They will give a command to cease and desist under a threatening situation and if it is not followed, they shoot to kill.

And that will not change.

At some point something is going to have to change . This just cant go on endlessly.

Martial law is usually imposed on a temporary basis when the civilian government or civilian authorities fail to function effectively (e.g., maintain order and security, or provide essential services)

Typically, the imposition of martial law accompanies curfews, the suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or extension of military law or military justice to civilians. Civilians defying martial law may be subjected to military tribunal (court-martial).

When used

The classical music link is right below the shooting link. Refresh your page and try again, or maybe change browsers?
Right click and open in a new window maybe? or get the url and copy and paste in a new window? There are probably 2 playing at once.

Nancy Grace tonight, Daryl Parks, when asked about reports of DW suffering facial injury said:

"without question we know, that there was a major altercation at the car there's no question about this so you will never hear me say there wasn't a major altercation within the car"
"We have a video of the officer right after..." shows Piaget Crenshaw video "that guy doesn't appear to be in distress right there, he's not holding his eye, he's not bleeding from his eye"

Interesting that last night he referred to it as "there was some level of interaction, strong interaction, between the officer and Michael at the car. We don`t deny that,” Daryl Parks It's now a "major" altercation.

Some level of interaction
Strong level of interaction
Major altercation

He had to ease into the truth IMO

Evil Soup! You come over here and sit next to me! No, I won't say that MB is 'worse' than GG, because who is 'worse' than a child rapist, and the answer is NO ONE!!! I'm with you, how could ANYONE make excuses for what GG did, death penalty would be too kind, IMO. But mon cher, assaulting a police officer can't be 'less' than assaulting a young girl, they are both terrible.
