The x-ray was negative that is all. If your arm is twisted in an attack but the x-ray is negative what changes? jmo

The problem is that it was a false report and a dramatic one at at that .. "Orbital blowout fracture" LOL. The problem is also why are we being fed with so many lies on BOTH sides... It was propaganda.. <modsnip>

I wonder about the x-ray. Having kids that played sports (and had several fractures) I know that they often don't show up due to swelling. I have had the E.R. send us home to let he swelling go down and return for further x-rays to find there was a fracture. In an even more bizarre incident - my husband was in a car accident and was x-rayed the next day and we were told his leg was broken and sent to an Orthopedic specialist. It took 2 more days to get that appt. and there we were told it was NOT broken - he had a severe hematoma, lots of swelling, etc. So......wondering if Officer Wilson had follow up care that detected a fracture and this latest report quotes that immediate diagnosis - or if, indeed, the whole story was incorrect.

Editing to say that to clarify - none of my children's injuries were to the face - these were wrists, ankles, and arm.

‘A dozen witnesses’ say Ferguson teen attacked cop before shooting
August 19, 2014

Multiple witnesses in riot-torn Ferguson, Mo., said that the unarmed black teen killed by a white cop attacked the officer in his patrol car before the teen was shot, according to a new report.

“Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop’s version of events in shooting,” St. Louis Post-Dispatch crime reporter Christine Byers tweeted, without elaborating.

It was obvious it wasn't a blowout fracture from the beginning for 2 reasons which I also mentioned yesterday but I believe we're deleted
1) the chief in the beginning said Wilson was being treated for bruises... If it was a fracture you can be damn sure he would have said so
2) he was in the video moments after shooting and believe me he did not have a blowout.. I have see these up close and he didn't have anything near that

CNN just played a snippet of AC's interview with Michael Brady. Did not mention the 2 steps Michael Brady said MB took toward DW. Only mentioned AC asking if he saw MB running toward DW, to which he sais no. I saw the original full interview last night when Brady said he saw MB clutch his stomach & took a few steps toward the officer. AC must not have liked this because he didn't ask him to expand but later put words in his mouth by saying you didn't see MB running toward the officer, did you. Answer no.

THANK YOU! I saw the full interview as well. And I saw him say that he took 2 steps forward and Cooper changed the subject. Then later said Youdid not seer him running towards the officer, right?

Also, doesn't he say that there were 'no hands up' happening when he turned around?

He also corroborated the struggle at the police cruiser.

Anybody else having a hard time trying to figure out how those shots to the arm got there if MB was NOT either
A) running away
Or
B) turned around with his hands up

??
There were four shots to the arm. The upper shot was from the front according to Parcells. The shot to the hand was more of a graze. Could have come a number of ways. Parcells demonstrated many times in interviews the other two arm shots could have happen in a number of ways. Including running away from or running towards the officer.

I agree, it is his report that seems the most believable in totality thus far.. IMO

Yeah. I know that he was down the street near where Brown died, so he didn't hear what was going on at the car.........I don't know how far from the cop SUV Tiffany was but definitely close enough to see the altercation. Not sure if Piaget was with Tiffany but I think she was on her balcony. Dorian was behind a car about half-way between the SUV and where Brown died. Not positive, but that's the picture my little brain has concocted! JMO

But does it really matter? His face was INJURED during a scuffle with the teen. That right there corroborates the officers version. There was no reason for that kid to punch a cop in the face unless he was looking for BIG TROUBLE. You can be sure the struggle over the weapon was going to follow an attack like that. And that is enough for the cop to use deadly force in defense of himself and the community. It doesn't matter if his eye socket was fractured or just bruised.

I was going to say the same thing. Whites don't talk about cause they are then accused of being racist. Moo

I'm never quiet. Not on line, not in real life. I say what I think. I'm not two faced, or afraid, or anything else.

I've discussed this in real life. I don't give a rats behind if someone is purple....you assault a cop, attempt to grab his weapon and end up shot to death....oh freaking well.

Dunno but the Michael Brady witness chat with Anderson Cooper sheds some light on how those shots occurred. He is an eye witness, and doesn't seem to have an agenda. JMO

I think he could be a good witness, but I didn't learn anything about the arm shots in his interview.

I heard the "two steps" original, but he said just that. He didn't characterize them as running. JMO

So they are saying the x-ray was negative. Where did someone come up with an orbital blowout fracture? It seems awfully specific. Is incorrect information being leaked to make those on Wilson's side look bad?

Kinda off topic, but on at the same time. I was just checking police shooting statistics. Not sure why this one is getting so much attention when there are several from ALL walks of life, ages, and RACES. Not sure how accurate this list on Wiki is, but here is the list of August shootings. I did not google the details of all the cases, but the ones I did read seem justified. If someone pulls a weapon or attacks a police officer with a fist (I consider a fist a weapon because it can kill you) - what is the officer suppose to do - wait an see what the person is going to do next? The next move from the perp could get the officer killed. Here's the August list from Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...nt_officers_in_the_United_States,_August_2014

Normandy High the Most Dangerous School In the Area ... with warring tribes of kids from 24 municipalities. "A culture of violence" ...

"Normandy stands apart not only for its sheer number of fights, but for a dramatic spike in serious discipline incidents — which have nearly doubled since 2009, according to district figures reported to the state. The increase coincides with a period of crisis in which the state has stripped the district of accreditation, citing poor leadership, dismal academics and other problems"

I think the manager was trying to figure out if it was a robbery?

And...omg people are quitting their jobs so they can protest!!

Where does it say they are quitting their jobs to protest?

I think he could be a good witness, but I didn't learn anything about the arm shots in his interview.

Right. He did not address the arm shots, but they could only have happened when MB turned around and BEFORE he put his arms in a cradling position (someone suggested that after his arm was hit he "cradled)it with the other. Brady said he then stooped down, arms still on his stomach, head down, and was shot twice in the head and collapsed and died. That is just the way I picture it, per his description. Dunno. We shall see, someday. JMO

We can still debate if the shots came from the front or back. However, in most of the discussions recently with MB's attorneys, they no longer dispute that he was shot front to back.

Wanted to bring this over as well...

That is crazy and Dr drew had on a cousin of MBs who stated...

http://www.hlntv.com/video/2014/08/20/michael-brown-shooting-cousin-speaks-dr-drew

He hit the nail on the head IMO

I watched this clip of DD with MB cousin...

Respectfully, IMHO I don't think there'd been either grand jury or open court if race reversed. I think perhaps the office would be put on paid Admin leave while they did a routine investigation and once report filed be back to work.

Do I think family be upset of course possibly try to file wrongful death suit perhaps but I think majority of people would say if he hadn't been engaging in behavior he'd not been in situation whether you want to take that as far back as actions in store or to just the resisting.

I just think we'd see that as accepting personal responsibility for our actions.

As to being afraid of police.. I'm grown woman never been in trouble with law except occasional traffic ticket I drive car with all head and tail lights, valid tags, insurance and won't drive after drinking etc and I'M STILL NERVOUS when police car is behind me or at intersection etc. Because I was raised to respect law enforcement to follow rules and any kind of incident would go down on my permanent record for life people would know I've been arrested for... and that would be an embarrassment NOT badge of honor.
