Okay folks I think posters should reread the rules if they are unsure about what they are posting. A lot of violations this morning and the posts were removed.

Political links are not okay to link here in this thread. We do not link them. We do not link to donation sites. We do not get into a discussion regarding racism. Stay on topic.

There is no evidence that this is a racial crime. So let's just discuss what we know for a fact has happened and go on from there. As more information comes in we are getting a clearer picture so that is what we need to discuss.

Thanks, Lambchop

Let me clarify and save some of you a PM, we are allowing racial discussions that are a response to MSM articles. We are not getting into a racial debate with each other. Hope that makes sense. If not, just leave the subject alone.

A page back someone was confused about mention of a third guy being with MB and DJ during the store robbery. I noticed UG (Unknown Guy) too, wearing white t-shirt, long black pants, dark "bandana" in the video, since he entered, lingered, and left the store with MB/DJ. In the video UG enters first, followed by MB, then DJ. UG is out of sight until MB approaches the counter and starts getting his loot, whereupon UG steps out of store but holds the door open as if to facilitate MB's getaway. When the clerk comes around to lock MB in, UG lets go of the door and DJ slithers out, as MB assaults, then menaces the little man. That's just what I remember seeing days ago when the video was first shown, but I could easily be mistaken If someone would post the store video for discussion re UG, I'd appreciate it.

He has been representing himself in a way that is not appropriate by giving forensic pathology opinions when he is not qualified to do so,” Young told the station.
Told of Case’s criticism, Parcells told TheDC, “Oh, I’m not surprised.”
“She hasn’t liked me for a really time. So, whatever. I don’t know what else to say other than that.”

So, like, Whatevs

I am sorry but that was his response to concerns expressed about his qualifications? okay.

Strange comment by Parcells. If someone had questioned my professional qualifications, I would have given my qualifications to counter it.

Store robbery video: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...e-accuse-shooting-victim-of-shop-robbery.html

Video begins with MB entering store, but just after UG (Unknown Guy) who is clearly seen at the end holding the store door open for MB before he assaulted/menaced clerk. It looks to me like the 3 entered the store together with a plan of action.

Thanks, Foxfire. Like others now, that video begins with MB entering the store. The originally released video began with a third guy entering just before MB, but that seems to have been edited out since, as that unknown person didn't commit a crime then and wasn't with MB/DJ later. It's clear to me though that the 3rd fellow was "with" them entering/leaving the store.

Thank you for this link and your research. I am shocked. I have not heard any negative comments about Dr Baden.

I for one can not imagine anyone wanting or trusting him after that. But as time goes by people tend to forget.

funny, I was wondering if UG on the video was the customer that called cops about the strong arm.

I agree, DebinGA.. This may very well be the 5th witness, imo.. If so, wonder where he was when the shooting occurred? Guess time will tell, huh?

I think the 911 caller was id'd as female, because I remember thinking how foolish it was to release that info since a woman with a child is clearly seen in the video. Or it could have been the lawyer for the store owner/s who supplied that info hoping to keep looters away, meanwhile putting the woman customer in the crosshairs.

If I'm a typical white person, the vast majority of whites wouldn't think twice about supporting a black "Officer Wilson"'s having to shoot a white "MB" under the same circumstances.

My experiences with police are limited but have always been cordial, the race of the officer made no difference. So my experience leads me to trust officers unless I have a good reason not to. I realize that people of many different races have different experiences in their lives which leads them to different attitudes toward police. I agree police are held to a higher standard and should be. When I was a manager at the Wal-Mart I held myself to a higher standard because that is what a leader is supposed to do. I did the same when I was in student government in college. That is part of leadership at any level, or should be. If you are an older more experienced person in the company of younger people, you are a leader to them. I've always been taught to model good behavior to anyone who might come in contact with me. I haven't always done it, but I have tried. I've been taught that it's my responsibility as a human being to do that. It's also crucial to avoid the appearance of wrongdoing. I think the police and citizens of Ferguson could turn their community around if they all decided right now to:
1. Treat each other as individuals.
2. Model the behavior toward each other that reflects how they would like to be treated.
3. Avoid the appearance of wrongdoing - perception is everything, even if it should not be.

He probably had more sense than to think walking down the middle of the street at noon was a good idea and went on his way.

There was an article linked here about 3 threads ago where it was mentioned that MB stopped to talk to two landscapers who were cutting down a tree.

I specifically remember it because it was worded like, "MB stop to talk to two white landscapers." And I was all like, who the heck cares what color they were! :gaah:

Yes. I remember discussion about why it would be mentioned "two white landscapers".

He stopped briefly to chat with two white landscapers who had been chopping down trees in the complex. They complained about the work, and Brown put it in perspective.

He told them "be thankful you have a job because some people don't have jobs around here," recalled Seltzer, who is among the unemployed.

Moments later, he said Brown departed with a friend, Dorian Johnson, 22, promising to be right back.

I remember in my grade school a police officer came to my school to discuss relations between the citizens and police. The Hazelwood police were running a campaign to increase trust between young people and the police. After the officer gave his talk we could ask whatever questions we had. Part of the campaign was to advertise that the officers had collectible football cards in their cars and we were encouraged to approach them when we saw them and ask for a card to try to collect them all. I didn't care that much about sports but my friends and I had fun collecting the cards anyway! I was in Hazelwood a lot, it was the neighboring city to me on the other side (I lived in Florissant, between Hazelwood and Ferguson) and I lived within walking distance of the Hazelwood border. Maybe they should try something like that?

DebinGA, there was a female in the video. It seemed that DM and associate/s were waiting on her to leave. When she went into the office or bathroom, all three quickly headed toward the check out counter..jmo

"If his grandma said go upstairs, he went. He was respectful," recalled neighbor Kevin Seltzer, 30. "He didn't bother people. That's why the community here in Ferguson, the real community of Canfield, we're upset now."

Brown stayed at Canfield with friends and, earlier this year, with his grandmother at the adjacent Northwinds apartments. He had just graduated from nearby Normandy High School — no small achievement here.

He was heavyset and quiet, but not shy. He recorded rap music with his best friend and smoked marijuana with other young men.

Well I can't disagree with Brown on that point. Jobs are very hard to get! I've been filling out applications since January and had my first interview this past Monday. And I have a Magna 🤬🤬🤬 Laude university degree, a clean record, good credit rating and lots of experience and skills.

O/T It is tough out there and Mike was right, those who are employed are lucky to be so in this economy.
Good luck with your search :)
