Thank you for posting these--this is great. I want to look them over to see if any of our eyewitnesses can be id'd on any of them.

Maybe one or two of the other arm injuries (besides the thumb) could have been from the altercation at the car, right? Maybe there were two shots at the car- I heard the anonymous witness say pop, pop then a few seconds later pop pop pop.

Ok, pop, pop, pop combined with your sig.... :giggle:

Anyway....it's definitely a little confusing.

Prof. Parcells said a wound on Brown’s right arm was “consistent with a witness statement” that Brown was first shot while facing away from Wilson, but he stressed that he and Dr. Baden could not determine conclusively the trajectories of the bullets that hit Brown—or which direction he was moving—when he was shot. The wounds “could be consistent with going forward or going backward,” Dr. Baden said.

Earlier someone remarked What does this mean???? Going forward or backward to what? That's doesn't indicate what direction your body is facing, that's a statement describing the direction you're moving in.:scared:

As for the autopsy wound diagram. I find this one to be clearer, but it is still confusing

I think he said, "it was leaked their was an orbital fracture."

Vid should be up in an hour or 2

In addition to that he wasn't given 2 much air time.
He confirmed HE did the autopsy
His started getting preachy about "the number of bullets in an open area that could have struck others"
That's when the fracture came up. And that it would have effected OWs vision.

I don't think he ever really got a chance to talk about the autopsy itself?
I found that irritating given the discussion that was going on.

After reading up on him last night, I won't be surprised to find him wishing he had stayed under the radar. IANAL, nor do I know how much power all the professional boards have to discipline someone who isn't actually board certified. But he appears to have made himself susceptible to charges of fraud (at least), imo.

Aww come on. You're just JEALOUS!

Any protesting tonight?

OK how about this. Let's just say that MB did walk over to the window and started throwing punches unprovoked. Let's say the gun was in the holster and MB went for it and somehow we knew his intent was to kill. But he couldn't get the gun so he ran away... Is it still ok for A LEO to gun him down as he is walking away or is the proper response to Point your gun at him and order him to raise his hands and get on his knees?
I dont believe MB did any of that, laughing at the whole he attacked the officer and tried to reach to kill him LOL. If that was the case, i wanna see the video...i wanted to hear it from the officers mouth the next day...But oh well, its how the game goes lol

This has been driving me crazy for a few days... picturing the scene.

What I think happened is this: if you look at a google map of Canfield, DW was exiting the neighborhood while the two boys were entering- they were traveling in different directions. First the "get off the street" comment then DW kept driving and stopped a few feet ahead. When DW went back to them (maybe he realized they matched description of robbery suspects or maybe he just notice they didn't get off the street), he put the car in reverse and veered the car in front of them by backing up straight beside them then turning the wheel, cutting them off sort of, ending up at a slant with the boys to the left of him, I don't think he made a u-turn. So now driver's window was facing the neighborhood entrance (toward Florrisant). Then the altercation, then the two ran past the back of the police car in the direction they were originally heading, further into the neighborhood. DJ hid or stooped behind either a parked white car (or maybe it was held up because the street was now blocked- I can't tell and never have seen any cars parked near the body on video). Then the shooting happens where MB turns toward DW who is closest to his police car.
That's what I believe the scene looked like from studying many different videos that have been posted.
Please correct me everyone if you think any of that is wrong.

What would help me greatly is if I could visually "see" crime scene. I tried google, looked at scene photos, but I am not getting perspective. OW made a u-turn partially blocking street ahead of them, driver's side facing them at angle. Does anyone have dimensions, guesstimates? Was red cap close to OW's SUV? Where was car DJ hid behind? How far from SUV was where MB went down.

I am assuming MB was head facing SUV. Is that correct?

what I don't understand is if he was shot when he was surrendering with his hands up, then why were his hands/arms underneath him when he died?

:scared:

Definitely need a forensic reconstruction. Don't know if we'll ever get it.

I found that irritating given the discussion that was going on.

Hired to deflect

I hate to make such a cynical comment, but if he ever does testify in a courtroom for this case, they ain't gonna be interested in what he "thinks" about that. JMO.

But maybe they'll call the good professor for those types of opinions, he does have a wide ranging background.

tonight while in the car. I know it was MSNBC, think it was the Ed Schultz show. But it was one of the MO politicians, a woman, didn't catch the name as I was switching around SIRIUS stations (I do want to find this-they must post transcripts) talking about why they want the DA removed. It was a lot about the DA being close to police which I've heard before.

But the one idea I was astounded at, was that the DA was biased because he has put lots of black people in jail. That just struck me as the most absurd statment ever, simply beyond ridiculous. He's the DA. That's what he does-that's basically all he does, that's the whole point of having a DA. To prosecute criminals and put them in jail. All kinds and colors of people. That's the actual reason to have a DA. I'm sure since he's been in office for 24 years, re-elcted by the people, he has put many black people in jail and many white people and many people of various other races and ethnicities. It's not like she's saying he has put "innocent" black people in jail-she doesn't talk about their guilt or innocence, just their color.

The DA is elected. If he's as bad and widely disliked as some people are saying, use the democratic process to replace him. He just won another primary by 30 points.

Mr. McCulloch, who is white, is well respected by his peers, serving previously as president of the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys and the National District Attorneys Association. And he has proved to be popular at the polls: This month, he won his Democratic primary race by a 30-point margin.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/21/us/st-louis-county-prosecutor-defends-objectivity.html?_r=0

I did just check and they only have transcripts up to Wednesday so far.

I was looking at some of the statements from State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed to see if it was her who said the above and if she repeated it elsewhere. I didn't see that statement but she made some others. One that sounds like a threat and displays her ignorance of the justice system and she actually put in writing:http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/st-louis-prosecutor-has-faced-controversy-for-decades/article_cdd4c104-6086-506e-9ee8-aa957a31fee5.html

Critically important, you must consider the potential consequences if you choose to not seek a special prosecutor. If you should decide to not indict this police officer, the rioting we witnessed this past week will seem like a picnic compared to the havoc that will likely occur, because the black community will never accept that there was an impartial investigation from your office.”

That's just irresponsible. DA's don't indict and elected officials should not essentially threaten rioting because a police officer is going to receive due process. The police officer is actually the one the justice system is required to be fair to. Our system is all about fairness for an accused or defendant. You can't change that just because of the color of the person shot.

I also find it just as wrong for her to try and speak for all black people as it is when others treat the black community as some kind of monolith. She has no right to speak for all black people and tell the whole world that black people will riot if something doesn't go the way some black people and some white people and some other kinds of people want it to.

BTW: That Senator is back on CNN AC360 right now. <modsnip> Now that she told the Governor to F Off we'll see what she's going to add to it.
