I cannot speak for that state but in Michigan if you shoot over your limit you can be charged by the dnr?

I think you are correct, they said at the presser that he had some arrest or something regarding a wildlife.

I can honestly say I have never been more shocked about something happening like this in my community. And to have known of the man. It is appalling. He is the coach of some of my friends' kids and has more than likely had contact with my ex-step daughter.

I wonder if this might also be him:

31301CM4555 - ST V CRAIG M WOOD
Date Filed: 05/18/2001

WOOD , CRAIG M , Defendant
13298 W HWY T
ASH GROVE, MO 65604

*6-5-01 JUDGE CHARGE DISP AMEND SENT PROBATION JAIL FINE 27751 1/TAKE TURKEY 7/PG 2/IMP $10 30 DAY STAY ON C. DC/LP

That has to be him. My searches show him living in Springfield and Ash Grove.

What the heck does "take turkey" mean?

Holy crap.

1 or 2 children missing every month in Greene County (where Springfield is) from July-October. Similar things around the state, too, going back to the 90's. I can't even find any results for them on Google, much less threads on here.

If those neighbors had gone inside for a glass of water, Hailey could've seemingly vanished into thin air as well.

What?? Have any of them been found??

iirc they also said in the presser that there were multiple crime scenes.. I would think that he went somewhere else before he went to his house and then most likely hid her there and took off to the laundry place to wash his clothes, etc (or even put stuff in the dumpster, etc)

he had to have seen those witnesses chasing him on foot and by car as he was able to shake them off.

I would not think if he saw people chasing him that he would go directly home. I bet that he felt really comfortable for a few moments because the truck was not "his"..

just my thoughts here.

:twocents:

I am with JeannaT here (your earlier post) that this guy was most likely thinking about this for a long time and finally acted...

I have a bad feeling about the laundromat. Could he have done something to her body at the laundromat?

Most Laundromats have cameras.

Another friend from work her husband is a teacher there and her daughter also goes to school there. She said her husband was okay at first but is becoming very shaken up over it.

Just so hard to imagine this sort of thing happening in your own back yard and in the bible belt of USA. First we had the little girl taken by her dad earlier this week and now Hailey...My heart is breaking for her family.

I lived in homestead when Jimmy Ryce was taken and was a year younger. My brother played baseball with him, my sister went to school with him, we had friends that were neighbors with him. It is something that hits so close, even when you aren't directly connected. It hits the whole community and stays with you forever.

Something to do with hunting. :( Good Lord - if he knows his way around the woods THANK GOODNESS for the witnesses! There is a chance he could have gotten away with this and she would have NEVER been found.

The only things I've discovered so far is that he graduated from college in 1986 and was voted most outgoing of his class. And in August of 1990 when he was charged with misdemeanor possession of drugs he was living at 2283 MIRABEAU, SPRINGFIELD, MO 65804. He also belonged to a local bluegrass band.

most outgoing........... :thud:

Can you imagine how that relative that he borrowed the truck from feels? Any more info about who that is?

MissouriGirl, can you share the name of the band and the college? :seeya:

Pretty please?

This will hopefully be a Death Penalty case; he doesn't deserve to be in jail. IMHO

Hopefully he will get the death penalty but before he is put to death he will be in prison for years and years.

Not according to this http://www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/CJ51/map.jsp, but it's possible some of the information is incorrect. I tried to find information on one 11 year-old girl and I found articles from when she went missing in 2012, but the site I linked says she went missing in October 2013 (chronic runaway?). Either way, so many of the listed kids on there don't even have photos listed. Absolutely heartbreaking.

The sheer numbers are just.. wow. To put my surprise into perspective, my state has 1 missing child, from the 90's I believe. 1. And GA has 4 million more people than MO, over a slightly smaller area.

Just signed in, this wasn't the news I was hoping for!

Really? A snails pace? His wife runs in to call 911 while dude runs after the truck and memorized the plate number, make and color?

Why are people attacking the witness here? Do you know how many times I see cars in my street circling? I keep a watch because we have a lot of neighborhood kids, but most of the time they'll circle about 8 times before I will go do/say something. Usually it's someone looking for their dog that got loose, nurses from the hospital next door smoking (they banned smoking on premises so now they drive our hood lol), someone lost and looking for a road or place (I've approached people and asked what's up if they look really suspicious). Any one of those times while I've stood in my yard or looking out the window deciding whether its suspicious enough to go do/say something, a kid could have walked by and been thrown in the vehicle.

The fault is squarely on the perp. Cripes I hope these witnesses aren't reading what people are saying. Guy was obviously shook up in that interview, said how upset his wife was, they probably already feel horrible enough!

I read that the witnesses said he asked Hailey where Springfield St was, so his driving up and down the street would make sense. I don't know how quickly I'd react, it would be hard to grasp something like this happening in my neighborhood right in front of me. Thank God they got the plate # or the parents might never have had closure.
