Those witnesses could have lend a hand in catching a serial child abuser or even a serial killer. We don't know yet, but thank god for their diligence.

The only things I've discovered so far is that he graduated from college in 1986 and was voted most outgoing of his class. And in August of 1990 when he was charged with misdemeanor possession of drugs he was living at 2283 MIRABEAU, SPRINGFIELD, MO 65804. He also belonged to a local bluegrass band.

I would think that he would have been 18 in 1986. So he graduated college at 18 or was that high school.

MissouriGirl, can you share the name of the band and the college? :seeya:

Pretty please?

I wish I could. I was listening to a live feed from KY3 and couldn't hear her quite right when she mentioned the name of the school. It sounded like she had said maybeeeeee something along the lines of Marshall, Marshfield, or Marshville.

I'm having major internet connectivity issues today and I tried to rewind back to it but lost connection and couldn't seem to get back to the spot.

And unfortunately she never did mention the name of the local bluegrass band.

Edited to add: It was Marshfield High School that he graduated from in 1986 (not college).

Press release on PD page:

Now I am wondering if he buried her in a makeshift grave on his property and that is why it has taken LE so long to say they have found a female body.

Remember how long it took LE once they found Jessica Lunsford under Couey's back porch? They were out there all night with big lights set up but they didn't remove her body until hours later.

IMO

iirc they also said in the presser that there were multiple crime scenes.. I would think that he went somewhere else before he went to his house and then most likely hid her there and took off to the laundry place to wash his clothes, etc (or even put stuff in the dumpster, etc)

he had to have seen those witnesses chasing him on foot and by car as he was able to shake them off.

I would not think if he saw people chasing him that he would go directly home. I bet that he felt really comfortable for a few moments because the truck was not "his"..

just my thoughts here.

:twocents:

I am with JeannaT here (your earlier post) that this guy was most likely thinking about this for a long time and finally acted...

I would think he would just drop the girl off somewhere after knowing he was being chased and his info probably called to 911. Guess it shows how determined these type of sick people are. jmo

Woods grabbed her through the driver's side window and pulled her in, he never got out of the truck and the male witness ran after the truck while his wife called 911. I would say that the witness did everything that he could.

I would say your info is likely flawed. You say/think he quickly dragged a 10 yr old thru a side window?? Do you realize how much harder that would actually be, and how much more time consuming??

I tend to believe all the reported accounts I've heard, which all say he opened the driver's door and exited hos vehicle to get her. Do you think she made it clear she did not want to go with him, yet stand within arm's length of her?? Think about it.

Yes, the witnesses did everything they could AFTER she was grabbed. I simply said I would have seen far more red flags before that point, and taken action before that point.

But it seems the general consensus here (which I strongly disagree with) is that nothing at all can prevent an actual child abduction. Nothing! Not even when you have adults within close proximity of a suspicious "resistant confrontation" between a 45 yr old male in a vehicle and a 10 yr old schoolgirl pedestrian. Yep, nothing at all can prevent it.

No sense trying to holler at the suspected perp, or run towards him BEFORE he gets out of his car to grab her. Seems many ppl here need to rethink their lax "awareness/protective" abilities for our children. There's a dead body to reinforce my viewpoint.

Hopefully he will get the death penalty but before he is put to death he will be in prison for years and years.

Sadly, longer than Hailey was alive.

most outgoing........... :thud:

Most pedophiles are really outgoing. That is why they are able to abduct or molest children. They seem very friendly and unassuming at the time. That is the façade they put up to prey on their victims.

So I am not surprised he was voted most outgoing.

IMO

She was found INSIDE the house.

According to KY3, Woods' father (they didn't mention his father's name) was also a popular teacher at Pleasant View until he retired several years ago.

he went to hs in Marshfield and that is where he grew up. Marshfield is a very small town east of Springfield no college there.
