What made him decide to troll several times up and down West Lombard that day? What made him choose that location? Why did he not just drive around many other streets, instead of the same street repeatedly? It was almost as if he knew she would be walking at some point.

Maybe that neighborhood is full of children who play outside when it's good weather. And just maybe he knew that. That's my guess.
My neighborhood has lots of kids and when it's nice outside they're out riding bikes, walking, riding skateboards, etc.

I do understand that. The discussion was simply about if CMW was "alerted" to knowing he was being witnessed, as it relates to the possibility and timing of someone calling out before she was grabbed.

He was 45 years old, never been married, never had kids, seemed to be somewhat of a loner. We have not yet heard that he really creeped anyone out, except I believe one kid and his mother, IMO we will get some of that. Did not interact with neighbors. they just saw him driving to and from work in his truck. Have not heard from any former girlfriends, wonder how long it's been since he has dated?
IMO his computer is going to tell a story. Might not be necessarily kiddie , but I bet there will be a lot of . Took a child because a full grown woman would be more difficult.
He truly is a sick monster with a lot of hidden problems.

So scary that there are monsters like this all around us in our daily lives that appear "normal". It's the hard truth. They are everywhere. Everyone needs to watch their backs 24/7.

This is a great post! You are so right, there are monsters all around us! I sort of agree with the Nancy Grace caller last night that said, that these monsters should have a huge M tattooed on their head, so at least people could warn their children about them!!

When this first broke, LE said they think suspect might be enroute to Oklahoma. I wonder who told them that information. Did he have family there?

Anyway I went and searched attempted abductions in OK City and found one recently but the child was a 8yo boy. The subject fit this monsters description to.

I'm not annoyed with you eileenhawkeye it is just not the right time for any media to ask a family member for an interview after their child had been murdered . I hope they media stay away from the family now and until after at the funeral. If the family ask to speak to the press that is different.

under the interview the caption said that Steve was there to do a report when mom came to him and only wanted to talk to him. do not agree that it was the right time but if she wanted to talk what was he suppose to do.

I feel guilty for thinking that but, I feel the same way. He looks creepy.
He doesn't look like a teacher IMOO, much less a coach.

I do believe she's heavily medicated at this time. Believe me, I know and can see the signs. I lost my daughter in a fiery car accident 2 years ago. She was my best friend and the love of my heart. Waved goodbye to me (on her way to work--left her 7 yo for me to babysit), said "love you" and I never saw her again ... I stayed heavily medicated for one full year after her death and still struggle every day with my grief. She wasn't snatched away from me by a predator and I know it wasn't anything like this, but she is dead the same. My heart breaks for this mother in her loss and I can see the pain she's trying to disguise ... I hope she will seek counseling because she's gonna need it. I know I did/do. It's not something I would wish on anyone, ever. :twocents:

I'm not a psychologist but I'd say they grow up with a sick attraction to children some to one sex or both and can't resist the temptation to act on it no matter what the consequences may be. I don't think you could wake up one day and suddenly decide to abuse, rape and/or murder a child without thinking of doing it before.

In a lot of cases though something seems to trigger them acting on it like a break up, redundancy or other personal problem. The man who killed April Jones here in the UK had just split up with his girlfriend if I remember right.

I will never ever understand why these individuals do this. I wish someone could figure out what more could be done to stop these monsters acting on their sick desires as more needs to be done.
