Search for missing man continues in Callaway County

As of 2:35 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018, the search for Jerry Kinman continues in the area of the Little Dixie Lake Conservation Area in Millersburg. The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Task Force One, Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have provided resources on this date. Those include, but are not limited to: emergency responders, trained search members, search dogs, boats, and drones.

UPDATE to clarify media reports --
As of 10:10 PM, the search continues in the Little Dixie Lake Conservation Area in Millersburg for Jerry Kinman. Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri Department of Conservation personnel will continue their patrols and search of the area throughout the evening and overnight hours. At approximately 5:00 PM, after searching extensively for 12 hours, search personnel from other entities suspended their involvement in the search and will return during the morning hours of Sunday, July 15, 2018. During the initial 12 hour search; extensive resources were utilized including helicopter, boat, drones, specially trained search dogs, specially trained search and rescue personnel from a nationally certified search and rescue team, and numerous emergency personnel.

Deputies along with multiple Callaway County and Boone County fire departments, Callaway County EMS, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are searching the area of County Road 248 near the Little Dixie Lake area for 74 year old Jerry Kinman, who was last seen 7/13/18. Deputies have confirmed the most recent phone call from Kinman was early this morning indicating that he had fell in the area.
