Found Safe MO - John Thomas III, 29, Springfield, 29 Jul 2018

Police say John L. Thomas, III, 26, was last seen on July 29, at 3550 East Evergreen Street.

Thomas is autistic and is unable to care for himself. He does not have his medication and can act out violently without it. He typically carries a backpack with him.

Anyone with information regarding Thomas' whereabouts is asked to call 911, or contact the Springfield Police Department at (417) 864-1810.

The address he was last seen comes up as an American Inn motel. I am not sure if it is even open. The area is where I 44 and I 65 meets, and he could have hitched a ride very easily with a truck driver. IMO this is not a good area. Kearney/Glenstone is nearby and that is notorious for criminal activity/drugs and such. I just heard about him missing this morning on the radio. I live local.

Update to missing person :

John Thomas, recently listed as an endangered missing person, has been located in Tulsa, OK. SPD Officers developed information that he might be at a location in Tulsa, OK. They contacted the Tulsa Police Department, who responded to the location at approximately 1:30 pm today. Mr. Thomas was found to be safe and at the location of his own free will. ...No further action was taken, and Mr. Thomas is no longer considered a missing person.
