Circumstances of Recovery - On 8-5-13 @ at 1713 while construction workers were digging out a trench with an excavator at a municipal airport, a construction worker spotted what seemed like a rock about 2 feet below the surface of the trench on the west side of the trench. The worker popped the object out of the ground with a shovel and realized that it was a human skull. Other skeletal remains were found but were removed before the finding of the human skull. The digging was immediately stopped and KCMO Police Dept was contacted.
