I know this is really out there but I was reading some articles and it mentioned that Kara's dad lives in Blue Springs. ERH had alot of ties to the Blue Springs area in fact I think his best friend lives in Blue Springs and the Halls may have lived there in the past (i remember reading that somewhere but can't find that article). I wonder if Kara spent anytime at her father's house and ERH could of spotted her there or they had crossed paths? I know there is no evidence to prove there is a connection between ERH and Kara but my brain is on overload.

I agree that it just seems like there should be a connection between ERH and Kara's disappearence. Maybe this new article that Mom3dd referenced will bring someone out of the woodwork who know's something.
I was thinking Hall is locked up now, so if his friends were as tight for cash as he seemed to be, maybe the reward money would be an incentive for someone to come forward. Someone maybe afraid to talk before because he seems to be one violent predator.

There was an attempted abduction in Olathe this weekend from a man with Missouri license plates. Wonder if he had something to do with Kara!

This Olathe suspect looks just like the Kara (suspect sketch), I hope they catch this guy!

Is the family still staying quiet? If so, I just can't imagine that. They must be worried out of their minds or have they just decided that she ran away and will come home if she wants? I can't imagine not turning the world upside down looking for my young daughter.

I haven't heard a word about Kara for a long while. It is frustrating. Maybe LE and the parents are hiding some facts while we sit and worry like they did with the minister's wife, Beth.

I saw a couple going around Belton putting up purple signs that said "$$$ Find Kara Call 911" and they also tied purple ribbons around trees and light posts.

BELTON, Mo. – Last summer, Leanna Zimmerman went on vacation with her best friend and neighbor Melody R. Snyder.
Friday night Zimmerman was out with many others looking for her missing friend.
"You don't want to think the worst, but it's just the way everything is looking, it doesn't look good," said Zimmerman.
The 38-year-old mother of two went for a walk Thursday night in her Belton neighborhood and never returned home.
Lonnie Snyder, Melody's husband of 14 years, said she would never leave her family.
Melody's friends were going door to door with her photograph in hand. They also hung posters in hopes that they will find her.
Melody Snyder is 5-foot-4, with blonde hair and hazel eyes and weighs 125 pounds. She was last seen in the area of 172nd and Montgall.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Belton Police at (816) 331-1500 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.

That is an odd case. I noticed the PD mentioned they had only 4-5 legitimate cases out of all their missing reports. I wonder if they consider Kara's to be "legitimate"?

Belton police said they receive missing persons reports almost daily, but the person usually shows up the next day. The department said they have only had four or five legitimate disappearance in the last 20 years.

It seems some other people are putting together things for Kara. This is good.

Busylady did organize some searches for the area around Longview Lake...but the police department didn't want anything to do with them! She had collected groups of college students to help and they did search a few areas until they were asked to stop by the people in control of the park. Busylady did what she could do! Nothing was found, however.

So the answer is effectively, no. No one has actually "combed" the Longview Lake area. The searches for Kara, to my knowledge, have been spotty and not very thorough. It also appears that LE and the family aren't promoting any searches for Kara. Equusearch has not been requested by LE or the family either. (They were actually in the area at Longview Lake when they found Kelsey Smith and could have been asked to extend their search for Kara...but no one asked.) It has been quite frustrating to the people here who have wanted to help and that are in the area to do so.

Just popped in to see if anything new had come out about Kara. This is so disheartening...why is no one in LE or the family doing anything? I feel so bad that she is not being searched for. I pray her parents come to their senses and request Equisearch to come in on this.

OMG my heart skipped a beat. I thought they had found her when I saw a post here. I think most of us, can really only speak for self, are just frustrated not getting help from anyone. I think of kara daily and just am so dissapointed i cant do more.
