The Independence Police Department is trying to locate a missing person, Krystal A. Pinell. She may also go by "Abby".

Krystal was reported missing yesterday, 3-28-23 She was last seen by family walking away from an address in the 2600 Blk of S. Hardy in November, 2020. She has been known to be in Raytown and Excelsior Springs as well.

Krystal is described as 26 years of age, 5'2", 100 lbs. She has been seen with red, silver, or dark hair. The below photo is from 2019. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Krystal, please contact Detective Nunez at 816-325-7332. Case report #23-19304.

She has been known to be in the Raytown and Excelsior Springs area as well, according to Independence police.

I see a case for her in Excelsior Springs in 02 if 2021. It looks like she was given a ticket for possession of paraphernalia so I'm guessing she was alive at the time.

(BBM) Me too, but I've seen it a lot here on WS. Sometimes it happens when people lose their phone or get service shut off, and because they hadn't bothered to write down or otherwise save their FB credentials they can't get back in once they get a new phone, so they have to create a new account. LRR.
ETA: also sometimes they just want to have different faces for different audiences, or because their old account is associated with an ex and they just want to move on from it. YMMV MOO

It’s also a bit of a discrepancy with physical description….5’2” or 5’4”? 100 pounds or 140 pounds? And with her having different hair colors too that complicates things. I hope by some chance she’s out there safe somewhere….

Yeah, that was odd. I think she's closer to 140 with as full as her face is. That's just IMO from my own weight and height. My face was nowhere near that full when I was 100 lbs. But it is odd that they aren't real close. Perhaps family was guessing at her height and weight which would explain the discrepancy?

I also note that the MSHP report is for a "Juvenile" when it lists her age as 24 --

Her sister A.P. is posting on this FB page and explains what is going on with Krystal and why she wasn't reported missing earlier. More important there is a V.N. who saw her in Fairmount just yesterday. I really hope this is her and not a mistaken identity.
