I have not kept up or read into the "Teen", with that said I am wondering if this teen is someone that jeremy's son played with before deborah even came into the picture.

Thanks anyway belimom. I was just hoping to find something that quotes it from LE, but after watching beane's linked video-they are not going to say it at this time.

:waitasec: so mom and teenage boy were close? What was Dad saying.. people in the list included "women that cheat on their husbands" ... could that be a bit of reverse psychology?

Monday October 3, 2011

Abducted by intruder through bedroom window. Far right window of house.

UPDATE—according to police spokesman window may not be correct.

3620 block of North Lister 64117

CORRECTION TO ABOVE GIVEN BY JEREMY IN PHONE INTERVIEW 10-6-2011

Lisa in bed at 7:30 p.m. Debbie in bed at 10:30 after checking on Lisa. 6 year old son slept with Debbie in parents room. Point of entry by abductor was unlocked front door, window mentioned earlier was NOT tampered with.
Irwin, an electrician, said he returned from work around 4 a.m. Tuesday and discovered Lisa was missing. Bradley said she last checked on the child around 10:30 p.m., then fell asleep in her bed with her 6-year-old son and a stray kitten they found earlier in the day.

UPDATE 10-6-11 3 cell phones also taken. One does not even work. Also, dad came home to find front door unlocked, most of the lights on and front window open.

Jeremy Irwin, Lisa’s father, told local media that whoever took his daughter also took all three of their cell phones so they couldn’t call anybody, including 911.

Other two sons asleep in different bedrooms. (sons are half brothers to Lisa-the 6 year old is Debbie’s and the 8 year old is Jeremy’s from previous relationships.)—Correction. One son—the 6 year old was asleep with the mom and a stray kitten he had found earlier in the day.

Father is electrician that works nights. This night was the first night he EVER worked at night.—Jeremy http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/miss...olice-14688735

Mother is a SAHM--Debbie

Monday October 3, 2011 10:00 p.m. Last seen in crib wearing purple shorts and purple shirt with white kittens on it.

**Possibly seen by Mr. Parscale (a man that lives in the area) according to his wife Lisa around 12:00 a.m. Tuesday wearing only a diaper being carried by a male. Quote from Lisa--“He seen the guy act like he was going to go into a residence,” Parscale said, “but then my husband drove off so we’re thinking that maybe he was just doing that so that my husband would leave.”

**Parscale says her husband saw the man walking on a street perpendicular to North Lister, where Lisa Irwin lives with her parents and brothers.

Tuesday October 4, 2011 3:30 a.m. (first report stated it was 4:00 a.m.) Father returns home from work and discovered baby missing from crib. Father calls 911 around 4:04 a.m.

UPDATE at 2:00 p.m. October 4 presser Capt. Steve Young speaking—Parents’ story has no holes. Looking into neighbor that possibly saw Lisa being carried by the male. No suspects other than neighbor sighting.

Tuesday October 4, 2011 approx. 7:00 p.m. amber alert cancelled. Lisa is considered a MISSING/ENDANGERED JUVENILE. Per police the alert has served it’s purpose. Police and dogs will search for a while into the night.

*** Tuesday night authorities searched a van and car at the home. There is no word on what police found or were looking for. Officers searching for the child focused on areas near the family's home such as railroad tracks near the north side of the Missouri River and a wooded area behind the home. http://www.fox4kc.com/news/wdaf-aut...rch-for-missing-baby-20111005,0,6273053.story

**Parents agree to meet with police today

Debbie Bradley and Jeremy Irwin had agreed to conduct a 10 a.m. interview Saturday with KCTV5 about the disappearance of their daughter, Lisa Irwin.
The interview was abruptly canceled because the parents had agreed to meet with detectives to talk about the disappearance of baby Lisa, a family spokesman told KCTV5.
This comes after police on Thursday had said Irwin and Bradley were no longer cooperating with detectives. The parents have denied this.

I thought there had been reports of the teen being questioned and of them taking a DNA sample. There have been many articles that reported this.

I know they did take a DNA sample, but I think if they had anything the teen would still be in questioning, and not the parents.

I think the teen knows something. I noticed in the picture we have seen(link in the thread) there are other teens being questioned. I can't see them letting the teen out of their sight if the teen was truly a suspect.

Why would they still be questioning the parents, why wouldn't they be on the teen like white on rice trying to find out where the baby is?

  • #187
In fairness as I see it they can't really win, too much exposure and they get accusations of media-whoring themselves, so they pull themselves back and they get accused of hiding something or not trying hard enough. They have publicized the fact that the baby has been abducted yet the media seem to want to focus only on the implication by LE that 'the mom did it' and therefore many aren't buying the abduction so aren't going to bother looking. It's entirely possible the mom DID do it but right now, when there is NO evidence pointing either way, LE, the press and the public have a duty to at least give them the benefit of the doubt. The extended family print and hang posters and they're accused of putting them in the 'wrong' places at the 'wrong' times, they try to make t-shirts or set up a fund to get a reward they're accused of profiteering. Get a lawyer it's an admission of guilt, don't get a lawyer it's an admission of guilt. No they really can't win.

Respectfully...

The reason she "cannot win" is that it is close to a statistical certainty that someone in the family did this, and the only theory suggesting otherwise is, to put it mildly, more than a little ludicrous.

In real life the plot twists are few and far between. Of the hundreds of thousands of serious crimes committed every year all but a few are committed by the obvious suspect -- it really is the blood splattered guy in a hockey mask clutching a chainsaw. Casey Anthony really did kill her kid, the Ramseys murdered Jon Benet, OJ killed Nicole, it's not as interesting or dramatic as believing there is some super sneaky maniac running around, but there it is.

In this case there is, at this point, only ONE real suspect. Mom. We don't know her motive and maybe couldn't understand it if we did. It's irrelevant. My fear in this case is that mommy learned something from watching the Anthony trial, that she learned that the best possible way to ensure a reasonable doubt is to hide the body and play the victim.

Why was the teen in the house early in the day?

I have no idea why he was in the house...I just know it's been reported that he was in the house.

On Friday, investigators questioned a teenage neighbor of Lisa's parents and forensic experts took a DNA sample, a source told ABC News. That neighbor apparently was at the home the day Lisa vanished and knew the access code to the family's garage.

Fox went back and rewrote the story to take out the "failed miserably" statement.

Why was the teen in the house early in the day?

I would like to know that too.

Do we know that the teen in the picture is the one that LE took a DNA sample from or could there have been yet another teen in the neighborhood being questioned?

  • #196
I agree, my almost 3 year old weighs 32 lbs and everyone always comments she's tall for her age and she has always been at the top of the growth chart for height and weight. She is of normal build also.

Makes me wonder what her weight was at her last doctors appointment and when that was.

I'm thinking more like 20lbs, she does not look like a large child from her pictures.

My ENORMOUS 2 year old who ranges between 75th to 97th percentile and has since birth, is 31 pounds. My 4 year old is 34 pounds, a little less than average. He is 4 today. If Lisa were 30 pounds, or really even 26, I believe that we would be looking at a much larger baby in stature.

This has bothered me since the beginning. 30 pounds AND 30 inches? Holy smokes. My 31 pound 2 year old is 37 inches tall and is big, 30/30 would be a chunk for sure.

What do we know about the teen? Only that he had DNA taken because he was in the house right? He hasn't been named a POI. He hasn't spoken. He hasn't been identified because he is a MINOR.

Accusing a minor and continuing to discuss him as though he is a suspect is against our TOS. HE is a minor. We are not going to guess that a MINOR is the one based on a picture. Showing a picture of a house that isn't up to our standards is unfair. Perhaps they are poor. A teenager can't be blamed for the condition of his family home.

Sooooooo let's back off on accusing a minor unless we have credible reports that he is named such by LE. Stop posting the screen shot of his home. The video of the questioning of many is out there. But he hasn't been brought in for questioning that we know. The rule on MINOR sleuthing is in full force here. Don't do it.

Here is a brief statement about it from Fox News later that day:

Sources are saying that the mother of missing Missouri baby Lisa Irwin took a lie detector test and “failed miserably.” While Kansas City Police Captain Steve Young won’t confirm that, he does confirm that as of last night Irwin’s parents are not cooperating with police.

Yep, ITA, those pesky statistics are always getting in the way of my more ludicrous theories but on the plus side I thought KCA was guilty too so I guess I'm not always wrong.
