Just had my Thanksgiving turkey diner, mmmmmmm. Anything happen since the police were crawling into the house through the window opening?

Where is Lisa? Little Pumpkin Pie....

Happy Thanksgiving! (to all those Canadians)

There hasn't been any new updates that I've seen since police went crawling through windows to recreate the abduction.

I would like a show of hands.... How many people have come home to lights on in there house while the family is sleeping.... and woke them up to ask them why?

I really don't find this strange at all, I just don't. Especially when there are three children in the home, one of whom is sick.

I have a teenager and 2 college students who all work at a local restaurant. There are lights on and people coming and going from my house at all hours of the day and night. I fall asleep on the couch a lot waiting for everybody to get home safe and sound, and not only will there be lights on...but usually a computer and a TV also.

Bradley and Irwin, both dressed in jeans and sweatshirts, held hands and teared up several times during the 20-minute interview. They reiterated that their main focus "is to bring Lisa home."

"We need her. We have to have her. She's our link that ties everybody together," Irwin said.

I thought he was speaking in terms of their blended family....sort of like...yours, mine and ours.

Lisa is the one family member related to everyone in the household.

EXACTLY! That is what I think!

..that's what i think as well----she is the link of the blended family.

..i only originally made that post in response to someone that said deborah had made the statement---------showing the article that jeremy did ( who knows maybe they both said it at different times.)

Great bar, with great pizza right there at Joe's. :) My husband used to be a manager at Joe's, and I lived in Westport for a few months, before I dragged him back to Ohio with me! :)
All this talk of Westport and Kelly's and Gates bbq and Minsky's is making me homesick for KC, and I've never even lived there!
Had friends and cousins who did though, so I've spent much time roaming around Kansas City.

Finding the lights on, knowing there was an adult and two children inside, wouldn't be alarming. Finding the front door unlocked would be, in my opinion.

I guess I was wrong since 10/8 report on CNN says : "It appears the suspect entered/exited through a bedroom window," authorities said in a statement. "Evidence at the scene leads police to believe the child has been abducted."

So now they DO actually believe Baby Lisa was abducted. Wonder who these "authorities" are?

This is not new....it's exactly the same as 10/4 - this article is just re-capping events.

True, but then LE wouldn't have said the parents' story doesn't have holes [or words to that effect], and also the parents themselves would realize that young kids wouldn't stand up to any questioning at all without spilling the truth... that they hadn't seen their baby sister for a couple of days [before the official disappearance], etc.

Interesting. The boys may have said all kinds of things. Didn't LE suddenly start to focus big time on mom ? After they had said that there were no holes in the parents' story story ? LE said that there were gaps in mom's story that they wondered about ? It's been almost 7 days...why are the 2 boys still not with their parents ? MOO

When I see our neighbors lights on late at night or early am... I always say to myself... "what in the heck are they doing up at his hour". Then I remember that most of them are doctors so I assume they are going to work... then I go back to bed... thankful that I am not a doctor.

My neighbors too -- they always leave their kitchen light on (and she's a SAHM). But she's prolly like me...an insomniac.

You'll usually find a light on at my house at night too. I don't find it all that unusual. For me, it's so I don't trip over my 2 cats (I already have a pinned ankle). I'd rather pay for a little more electricity than break my ankle again!

MOO

Where is the impression that he was ridiculing her come from? Maybe the situation was just unusual enough to illicit concern, she probably aroused slightly when he came in the room anyway, so he asked her. Does anyone have any idea where that diagram of their house plan is? I would like to look at it again. TIA :)

That was from last nights interview... she said he came in and woke her up to ask her why the door was unlocked and the lights were one... and she was like.."what" "what you talkin bout willis" Then he said, and the door was open to the baby's room... so they both went to check...

Same here. We have one that is always on (dimmer switch in kitchen), another in living room that is on a timer, and upstairs front rooms likewise. Master bedroom is upstairs in the back of the house with TV sometimes still on after we're asleep.

What's funny is with the exception of a couple other houses, everyone else in the neighborhood is completely dark.I am thinking whose house would you break into first.Yes you are correct. We don't usually bother to cut the TV off either.Shhh we are up all night:)

I know that when DH has been away on work or working late, I have been known to have every light in the house on...

but, I bet not the window open and door unlocked. Lights offer protection. Open windows and doors invite trouble. Odd

My 26 year old daughter leaves lights on and the door unlocked all the time. Infuriates me....when I throw the door to her bedroom open I am not checking on her, I am yelling, "REALLY? AGAIN??"

It wouldn't surprise me at all...and sometimes I just lock it and yell at her in the morning lol

But, she was used to her husband probably doing that every night...

and/or the teen.
Yes. I was going back and forth about which one and decided mom was the more likely. The other element was sort of a wild card yesterday. Still interested in that angle should the investigation prove it worthy of consideration.

KC has the best food! I do miss it there. I mostly like Rosedale but Gates is good too.

Oh those girls can really make a mom crazy! I have daughters who think that because they are tall, no one is going to try to do anything to them. I constantly tell them that a guy half their size could overpower them with a weapon! Geez they make me crazy!
