The man charged with the 2006 murder of his wife pleaded guilty Friday in Boone County Court.

Keith Comfort's murder trial was scheduled to start on June 12.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Megan Shultz.

The judge sentenced him to 26 years in prison.
