Mother accused of shooting, stabbing teen son to death as he slept in Missouri

As police conducted a welfare check, they found the 16-year-old boy with multiple stab and gunshot wounds in his home.

His mother, Krista Roy, 47, had been taken to the hospital after prosecutors say she took numerous pills and had wounds to her arms, believed to be self-inflicted.

Roy is being held on $1 million cash-only bond.

Krista Roy "confessed to lying in the bed with the victim, caressing him, and hearing the victim cry out 'Mommy' several times," documents said.

"She confessed that she had obtained a pistol with the intent to kill her son and her self and that she shot him several times while he was sleeping in his bed," McCulloch said. "She then laid down with him because he was still alive, was caressing him and he was calling out her name, calling 'mommy, mommy.'"

Oh good lord. She reminds me of Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, only WORSE. I don't understand the human race. I try, but I can't.

Oh dear God that poor boy. May he rest in peace . She has to have mental health issues but still. My heart breaks for his final moments

It’s amazing that the teen’s friends had enough sense to contact law enforcement. Makes me wonder what was going on in that home before this incident. Jmo
