This is like an ID channel show, where you have to wait until the final 5 minutes to find out what really happened. Though I'm not sure if the RR angle is enough to carry it up to that point. I feel like whatever the truth is, it isn't something that is nice and neat and able to be tied up with a pretty bow.

I'd like to interpret the judge's comments as meaning, assuming this RR story is true, your actions warrant more severe charges against you than 2nd degree manslaughter. I don't see how a police officer, with a military background, could be found not guilty when he's already admitted to taking every step necessary to kill someone. I'm guessing if he's all but willing to give up that, then if there is another truth to this story, it must be far worse, and show much more than "negligence."

Exactly. He’s basically admitted to a crime, but the question is: Is this all he did?

This is a hell of a thing to admit to, and you are serving time regardless.

But is this all?

He knew better, as a Marine, and as a (former) cop.

Not just recklessness, it was INTENTIONAL recklessness.

BBM:

(Smacks buzzer) What is a "Hard No," Alex. Final answer.
  • Timeline screams, "NO!"
  • Circumstances scream, "NO!"
  • Occam screams, "NO!"

SocalD, bang on the money! Why would anyone assume the RRR story is true?
It is ludicrous. Totally implausible.

IMO, it's a total lie, which means something else is true. Something else happened in that apartment.

Investigators need to toss the RRR narrative in the trash where it belongs, look at the known facts and evidence, and from there it probably ain't going to take a degree in rocket science for them to figure out what really went down, especially if (*unconfirmed rumors) about clothing are true.

I think the answer to this crime is so so simple...

Why did the married KA go to the apartment at such a late hour? Something so important that NH risked his job to go out of his district while on the clock. Why not meet at a Burger King or somewhere in district? Why didn't NH say, "Hey, I'll meet up with you tomorrow." Did NH plan to stop by his apartment to meet her real quick then zip back to his district?

What reason would result in someone being killed in about 20 mins? Something heated, something adversarial, something extremely important?

I agree with this. Something...it would be interesting to know who was there first.

A lot of information could be found on cell phone records, how often did they talk to each other, and when. I believe that the cell records can also pinpoint where people are, when they make calls, was Alix at his apt often? Emails could also detail a lot of information.

I just don't see how people start drinking a beer, and five minutes later start playing "Reverse Russian Roulette". Nothing makes sense here.

There is a lot missing. Riordan's testimony will be critical. If he stays to this asinine story, I guess it will hold up.

I am also done with the RRR story. It didn't happen.

Yes, cell phone records will say a lot. Text messages and email would be great but even if they retrieve them, will we ever know it or will they be covered up.

I never felt this way before, but this shooting has made me feel there is a dark corrupt side to the SLPD. Probably because of the blatant lying and the severity of this shooting. The Chief of police is fairly new (December 2017) and I am hoping and praying that he will follow through in the right way. I haven't given up hope on him yet. The CA has it out for the city police, which I don't think is so good, but will work in the favor of truth in this case.

Now I wish we Websleuthers would get a morsel of information that would help us speculate further into this. Anxiously waiting!

Was there any explanation ever given as to why NH supposedly banged his head against the car? As in, what did he say was the reason?

  • #572
I sure hope they bagged her hands.

  • #573
Why make up a story about reverse RR instead of regular RR in which case she would have shot herself? No crime committed. Probably no evidence of a close contact wound.

I don't think there are media reports of NH giving a reason. I suppose he was just distraught over the mess he got himself into.

Well, in regular RR, there would be a gunshot to the temple, not to the chest.

  • #576
Moving the body, ostensibly to take Alix to the hospital is interesting. I wonder if there is any blood spatter from the wound. A single bullet to the chest, might not have much blood. So, who knows where she was actually shot...and when. Maybe she was shot as soon as she entered the apartment.

If we don't believe the "RRR" story, why believe anything else in this situation?

  • #577
We may never know what actually went on and why. The wagons circled tightly immediately. Maybe things were more out of hand than have been alluded to. Maybe she gave him that shiner for whatever reason. It wasn't an "oops" situation that an experienced ex military cop made a killing shot straight to her chest. I'll never believe that.

So. in reverse RR you aim at the chest instead of the head?

NH is not staying at his apartment, i.e. scene of the crime, while under house arrest.

St. Louis officer accused of killing fellow cop now under house arrest

A St. Louis police officer charged with shooting and killing a colleague remains under house arrest Friday at an undisclosed location some two hours outside of the city.

A relative from Boone County paid the bond. The courts have allowed Officer Hendren to live at a secret location there but he’ll have to wear an ankle bracelet from a Boone County “court-authorized monitoring group.”

Scary that he is out on bond.
