I'm not buying the Russian Roulette story.
This whole thing stinks of murder, corruption, and cover up.
MOO
Just a thought of mine right now, I'm wondering if she was about to file a sexual harassment complaint and the other officers were trying to "talk" her out of it. JMO I do agree with you, I don't believe the Russian Roulette story at all.

It's probably not something you want to search on the internet w/o "safe" mode, but apparently its something some folks do.

Man Shoots Girlfriend After Drunken Gun Foreplay

Hope that wasn't the case in this accidental death.

ETA: This was the first thing that came up in a search, I don't feel like exploring any further.

Darwin award? Or smart as a fox? Who knows...

But I still stand by my opinion, that "RRR" is a story, and the initial response by the SLMPD was, "Okay, sure, that could happen to anyone.". Downplaying the myriad of issues here...it seems pretty outrageous to me. And rank hypocrisy, because if this situation was reversed, that a civilian shot a police officer, nothing would have been given the same level of credibility. And definitely, bloodwork would have been done on the participants.

Tough call.

There are so many worthy nominees for that prestigious award this year.

NH is a strong contender.

The clear favorite has to be PF, though.

JMO.

Just wondering where her new husband was at 1am? i didn't see anything in any of the articles about his whereabouts. It looks like perhaps she is a night shifter and she worked closely with the man who has shot her. But why would she be at this place in the middle of the night when he's on shift and she isnt?
According to previously linked MSM, he was on duty at the time of the incident.

Yep, and that's a relevant fact, IMO.

It would be interesting to know what time KA's husband's shift was scheduled to end, but I don't think that's been published in MSM, at least, not that I've seen.

The only other thing I can think of is whether there are some gun "games" that soldiers play these days when overseas? Didn't NH spend quite a bit of time in Afghanistan? Was he in combat? JMO

Nope.

REVEALED: St. Louis cop and female officer he is accused of killing in deadly game of Russian roulette were on night patrol TOGETHER just two days before her death
  • Nathaniel Hendren, 29, worked an overnight shift with Officer Katlyn Alix, 24, on January 22 from 11pm to 7am
  • The shift marks the last time Alix was on duty before her death on January 24
  • Records show Hendren served his next two patrol shifts with Officer Patrick Riordan - who was present when Alix was killed at Hendren's home
  • The three cops had been drinking when Hendren and Alix began playing a deadly game of Russian roulette
  • Hendren has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action and is currently out on bail
  • On Monday, he filed a motion for a new judge in his case claiming bias
The St. Louis cop and the female officer he is accused of killing in a deadly game of Russian roulette had been on patrol together two days before her death.

Nathaniel Hendren, 29, and Katlyn Alix, 24, worked an overnight shift on January 22 -marking the female officer's final time on duty.

Documents obtained by local news station KSDK reveal the two partners, who joined the police force in 2017, had monitored the city's second patrol district and responded to six calls between midnight and 5am that night.

After that shift, Hendren served his next two patrol shifts with Officer Patrick Riordan on January 23 and January 24 - the night of Alix's death.

OK, I'm going to go all conspiracy here, and say that perhaps something happened 2 nights earlier, and this so-called meeting at his house was really a set up to kill her. Hey, as good as any other theory I suppose.

Um, spinning a revolver barrel really doesn't keep you from knowing if there is a round chambered or not unless you don't look at the gun you're holding. You can see the bullet or lack thereof. If you don't see the backside of the bullet it's in the chamber.

Now THAT’S some relevant information. No need to speculate how they may have known each other. They were PARTNERED together just 2 night before she died. Wish there was another news conference with the Chief of Police now where questions could be asked about this.

Ahhhhhh, a twist! The plot thickens.

This latest twist could be a red herring.

Definitely use of reverse chronology.

One thing I'll say, whoever's narrating this story is doing a masterful job of manipulating John Q. Public's perception of events.

I'm not normally one for pitching my tent on grassy knolls, but hey, you're right, any theory is as good as another when you're looking at Reverse Russian as the alternative.

So, what do people here think might have happened 2 nights earlier?

I'm thinking the evidence would tend to support that the 2 of them may have been "on shift, but out of district" for part of that night.

It would be interesting to see what their call logs look like for that night, wouldn't it?

Don’t get all cation in this “out of district” thing. It’s their best that they were absent from. The “district” is the entire precinct. When I was in patrol I spent easily half the night out of my beat for one reason or another.

I would like to know how long Officer Alix and Officer Hendren had been partners prior to her being off and he being partnered with another officer. Was it a normal shift change or did something occur while they were partners and a change was made? So many questions.

Yes, I have so many questions right now. Were they normally partners and it was a change put forth to separate the two of them for some reason. Was a complaint made to supervision about something that may have happened during their work time? Was she being "persuaded" to rethink something? Just thinking out loud here and JMO thoughts.

When I referenced the likelihood that the 2 of them might very well have been "out of district" when they were partnered together 2 nights prior to the shooting, that was actually my subtle way of suggesting they may have found themselves at his apartment that night, too.

I'm not really concerned about whether or not they ventured 3 blocks outside their designated stomping grounds to run in the the Seven-11 for a Slurpee.
