IKR??? No one cares!!! The good people of St. Louis care that their Cards are in the playoffs. The rest of America is looking forward to Halloween and the holidays to escape the serious problems in the world, like ISIS, Ebola, the economy, etc... Most people don't have time for this. My husband laughs at me every time he sees me watching these live streams etc... He, like most of America, just looks at them, chuckles and moves on with his day. For my part, I've got my brother's grandkids for the day and I'm taking them and my kiddos to the pumpkin patch! I plan to enjoy the weather and the luxery as an American to spend my hard earned cash on a fun-filled day with family. To think that there are some who wake up in the morning planning mayhem and misery.

Duchess, that sounds like a wonderful day, and I hope you all are having a grand time!

Isn't it wonderful that we live in a country where we have the privilege of working and spending our money as we see fit? And when hard times come we have neighbors and friends and community resources to fall back on until we lift ourselves back up again? And where so long as we abide by the laws of the land we can go about our business (except, of course, in certain "pockets" of our land where mayhem is allowed to check the regular comings-and-goings of the average law-abiding citizen.)

Every time I hear the protesters chant "our streets" and then see them blocking the progress of someone's car down those streets, I think, "It's their streets too! What about their rights?!" Their right to get to and from work on streets their $$ paid for in safety and calm; their right to get their babies to the hospital without having to fight a maze of angry people; their right to go about their job of delivering goods and services without being put in harm's way.

I could think of over 100 other causes to march for, this is not one of them.

How about taking all that negativity and doing something constructive with it like, I don't know, helping the homeless, donating time for the elderly, cleaning up the city, having drives to help fight diseases ect ect ect?? Instead of "stop killing our felons" marches.

Oh Dana, you are a child after my own heart.

I'm not sure when this society changed to, "my hero's are felons" mentality.

2 AA shot by police in 62 days. 4 AA shot by AA in 2 days.....

Then we have the officers who have been shot at and missed, or injured during protests. One officer was shot in the arm, another shot at on his drive home and injured, the high speed chase where officers were shot at this past week, the off duty officer and OW who had to fight to keep MB from getting his weapon. Every since of one those incidents could have caused the officer's death. Why is there no outrage over the amount of shootings period?

I'm glad I will be out and about today and not able to pay much attention to this. I feel really bad for the good people of St. Louis, who work so hard to try to keep their city from desending into another Detroit. They should be bande Hate and ignorance disguised as American spirit. The Ferguson agitators have banded with some of the most vile filled extremist and anti-American organizations they could find to bring "bodies" together to appear as though a bunch of people care about MB or VM or anyone else for that matter. d together to rejoice in the American pasttime of baseball, cheering on their beloved Cards. But instead, they have to deal with vile and racist chants, rhetoric, chants, slogans and signs - reminding them all that if they are white or successful or peace loving people then THEY are the problem as opposed to thugs and gangbangers in their streets. They have chosen to take the side of the thugs instead of the peaceful citizens of their community.

bbm

You have a way with words.

But isn't that the parents responsibility? They know the drill and some seem to put their child in harms way so they can be outraged later. SMH

Sounds like some protesters felt threatened by other protesters' antics even before last night's. I hope police remove any children under 15 from the crowds today if the thought of using tear-gas becomes a possibility.

All of this because someone reported the facts of the case wrong!

What is wrong with America?

SMH
Jewel, imo you are right. The facts were at first reported wrong and quickly righted....reporting that MB stole cigerellos, bullied the shop owner, ignored ODW then (reportedly)attacked OW.
The protesters somehow managed to ignore the facts. I'm still sticking to my first thoughts about education being badly needed in the hood.
MB was a victim >>>>
after being a thief and a likely cop attacker.
Somehow he became a hero......smh

Speech is legal, unless it's the "Fire! in a theater" sort. But why were Bassem et al allowed to scream prolonged abuse within an arm's reach of LE? I'm hoping LE are recording all of this for use against the worst agitators later on, i.e. to show a pattern at trial, because nothing else makes sense to me.
I did notice an officer recording Bassem last night. I hope LE is biding their time because they want to get enough evidence to put him away for a long time.
