However to answer your question we had tickets to some auto races in Nashville, Tennessee the next day. Because time was short I went to the MSHP headquarters in Kearney Street that evening. I talked to Jack Merritt who went on to become the sheriff of Greene County. I would have gone to Internal Affairs but I simply didn’t have time to go in as we had a long trip to drive. When we were coming back I stopped off at the DEA office in Memphis and also reported this.

Not to put too fine a point on this, I regarded this as a threat against my life. I had made a living in the public arena and talked to a number of “rough customers.” This incident shook me to my core.

About 2005, Kathee Baird phoned me at home when we lived in Texas. She had questions that she wanted to ask me. She recounted her contact with Robert Cox, in Livingston, Texas. I asked her if she asked him if he remembered me and he said he hadn’t.

I just let it drop. Water under the bridge.

And that’s where i have doubts about the GJ 1&2 . They were career Thieves . IF they saw money ( regardless of why they were there to begin with ). They aren’t leaving it . And Garrison harassed the coed he assaulted about money . Heck , no one knew how much cash she had , you could take $700 leave $100 and no one would be the wiser ..

I straight up dont believe Asher threatened Mule with his job..... I believe theres crazy amounts of context missing...especially seeing the patterns Mule displays on the forums over the years..

And you believe Mule at face value here ?? This was 27 years ago during the biggest investigation of Asher's career and you have a random civillian trying to insert themselves into the investigation.....two sides to every story imo
Not saying Mule did anything nefarious but to a cop,, someone inserting themselves into an investigation is highly suspicious and odd........especially if they are also impeding...

I dont share that view. I dont really think he was fair to Bartt...........but he's never lied. And no one has pointed to even one time he's lied after I've asked repeatedly....

imo the Asher character-assassination started when a certain "verified family member" came on here and started defaming and gaslighting the forum about him being awful and the cult followed suit and it sort of created this shared disposition of Asher... it isn't real.. he was a detective,,, like all the others... he may have wedged a gap between the Mccalls and streeters as a strategy early on when Bartt was a suspect and maybe when they suspect Bartt might have some link to the suspect (if someone bartt owed money to...etc)..... its silly to think he's wrong or should be questioned solely bc Mule got his feelings hurt in a phone call

Throw in the other stuff about the case being handled oddly as well is strange but I’m not not buying a cover up.

This was basically the perfect crime and due to lack of evidence and how clean it was it comes across as planned. So how do you plan something like this when two of the victims shouldn’t of been of been there that night?

I also do not think anything suspect of Richard. He seems like us @asyousay , someone who just wants this case solved. I also don’t agree on the sexual predator theory. There’s three accounts on here I’m certain belong to the same person
