Ms Moore identified two of little Jane Doe’s extended family members and reached out to both of them.
Where did you hear this?

Due to possible psychosocial dwarfism, I wouldn't be surprised if she was years older than 11.

Have Alton Coleman and Debra Brown been conclusively eliminated for this one?

Not OP but CeCe Moore was interviewed in the Our Precious Hope documentary and said two distant family members were located, but they did not react positively and refused to assist. Hopefully things have changed since then.

If genetic genealogy is being done on her that’s good news. She has a very good chance of being identified.
Genetic genealogy has been underway for a number of years in this case, see the post of April 2023. The documentary with CeCe is also on Youtube.
Just wanted to post a better link as the original took me all sorts of sideways :)

Also interesting to note @CeCeMoore notes in the interview that she's been working this case on almost 3 years.

This gives me some hope! Please let this be a piece to this puzzle.

IMO, that's very telling.
Not necessarily. Could be distantly related and did not know anything about their relatives. Could be elderly and sick. JD could have been adopted out or fostered and they didnt even know she existed.
Many possibilities.

I did it! I submitted a note to the investigator to ask if either girl can be considered for review as a possible match for our girl

1) Consuela Cash: Missing Person / NamUs #MP15293
2) Kelly Juanita Staples: Missing Person / NamUs #MP2893
The case was updated in Namus last week but I can't see what changed. There's still the same 12 ruleouts that have been posted here several times this year already, so I won't repeat the list. Consuela Cash and Kelly Staples are not on the exclusion list.

Hi everyone. This case weighs on my mind every day. So much so, Precious Hope inspired me to study forensic anthropology to help bring justice to those like her. A few days ago, I stumbled across Edrar Sosa's website and discovered some promising news. He's fundraising for a mini-docuseries regarding Hope. In this series, he not only plans to conduct more interviews, but plans to DNA test the largest families in the areas where Precious Hope's genealogy has been traced. There are also plans to make the series Netflix-quality to raise awareness. His website is here: www.314BirdStudios.com

i didn’t see a change either but maybe the part where they mention advanced forensic bone testing suggests she was not from the area, listing possible states she was from.

i never heard anything back from my submissions of Consuela Cash or Kelly Staples.

I work for the Saint Louis Dept and have heard nothing. Have seen the actual police reports which all are on micro film, and on several rolls of film. I only got the initial and secondary part of report while working in records, that report has at least ten rolls to it, and I never got enough time to leisurely search. Now work in prisoner processing. Was glad the Christian Ferguson case got the resolution it deserved. Bumping this case up.

Sister Margaret Ann Calcutta says she is still searching for answers in her sister Mary's murder. Mary Calcutta moved to Houston from Pittsburgh in the late 1970s, looking for adventure.

"Mary was always very happy, you know," recalled Sister Margaret Ann. "We used to call her princess."

27-year-old Mary accepted a clerk job in Houston and got her own place at the Orchard Apartments, a sprawling complex that catered to young, single working professionals. But in July of 1979, her best friend in Pittsburgh remembers getting a frantic call from her.

"It popped right out of my mouth - why are you calling me on a weeknight?" said Beth McKinstry, who was Mary's best friend. "She explained that there was a murder in her building and she was afraid."

I heard that they won’t cooperate :( .

Even still, the fact that two connections have been made means that others can be made as well. It may take more work and time, but this is a huge step toward finding our girl’s name. CeCe Moore is a real force of nature and I don’t think she’ll stop until her true identity is found.

Today marks 42 years that our doe has been unidentified. I think this could be the year she gets her name back.
