I am linking my post from Damian Kinte Dill - Websleuths Thread below.
There is a strong possibility that Damian is 2007 St Louis John Doe. This John Doe was found floating in the Mississippi River. Seeing as Damian was originally a resident of Compton, California and was thinking of going to Florida, it is clear he was very mobile. On top of that, the resemblance is incredibly striking.

I have sent this tip along to the Montgomery Police Department, and also sent this tip to Clara Land who is the Criminal Intelligence Analyst for the Missing Persons Unit in the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

River Man case frustrates police
The fact that no one has called leads Gieseke, the city police captain, to believe the man isn't from the St. Louis area. But investigators can't necessarily focus on river towns to the north.

"Bodies can get caught up in a vacuum underneath barges and be carried upriver," Gieseke said. "The river can be a place that hides a lot of secrets."

Vize's sketch shows the man with a slight smile, something Vize did on purpose so he could show the man's teeth. Because of decomposition, the teeth were one of the few "knowns," Vize said. Vize hopes it can solve the case.

"I'm pretty confident it will look just like this guy," Vize said. "I just try to calculate what the guy would look like in life."

I am certain this is Damian, and I think Sgt. Vize did an amazing job at the recon. (He tragically committed suicide years later, may he RIP)

I hope we find out either way one day soon.

The watch was released in 2005, trying to track down a more specific time period. Usually fast food toys are only available for about a month at a time.
Edit: I believe these were released in the promotional period when Revenge of the Sith was released in theaters. The movie was released May 2005, and Burger King had a Star Wars toy line that summer. The watch was likely available during the same period

the Triple Crown shirt is a California sports team. Damian is from Compton California.

Bingo. This is Damian.
This doesn't seem to account for the "Amerikus" logo?

Might be a custom screen-printed T-Shirt from this company, Triple Crown Products, which was established in 1984 in Wisconsin. Seems like it could be more likely since the UID was found in the Midwest.

I posted about Amerikus in Damian's thread. It is also linked to Montgomery Alabama. and also Florida.

This case has really been bugging me so I sent a follow up email. I'll update if I hear back. I just think there's too many similarities to ignore, if I am being honest.

2007 St Louis John Doe is a black male, between 20-30, 5'10", 150 lbs, He was wearing Dickies boots, blue jeans, and a T-shirt with the Triple Crown logo. He also had an old healed fracture on his right forearm, and detectives noted the unusual detail of a kid’s watch on his wrist.

Damian was a black male, 20 years old, approximately 6'0 tall and 150 pounds according to NamUs.

Then when comparing the John Doe sketch to a photo of Damian Dill, IMHO the similarities are striking.

Lastly, Amerikus (the name on the shirt) is the name of an individual who when she was young, lived with her mother. She now lives elsewhere. But at that time, her mother worked for the United States Airforce out of Montgomery Alabama. That is a lot of commonalities for me to think it's a coincidence.

Wow! I wonder if he really was Damian all along?

I asked for an update from the detective who said he would look into this:

Good Afternoon!

It appears the NamUs profile for this John Doe has been removed!

Has there been a resolution? If so that makes my heart very happy!!

I have often thought of this John Doe and tried to advocate for him for a while now. I hope the family who have been missing this person receives a resolution in 2026. Was he confirmed to be Damian Dill?

Thank you very much for looking into this Seargent <REDACTED>. 🙏

Will there be a public announcement I should keep an eye out for?

I look forward to an update on this case.

Thank you, and God Bless. 🙏

I promptly received this reply:

Good evening,

We are still working this case and there is no update to give at this time. Once there is I will let you know.

Respectfully,

Interesting. So no update at this time, but he has been removed from NamUs.

Sounds like they might be waiting to make a public announcement.

I hope the family of this individual are all finally able to properly grieve this person, knowing that a resolution has been achieved. As bittersweet as it is.

Whoever this John Doe is, I hope he can now rest easy.

I wonder he was identified as Marcoe Hollman, who was removed from NamUs today. His DLC on NamUs was 8/1/2007 but it sounds from the circumstances that the date may not be very accurate.

That makes sense! Well don’t I feel silly now. 😆

Either way, I am glad that someone is coming home. 🕊️

Hey, don't you feel silly. I was just posting a possibility, your tip may still be correct. I hope the detective will let you know when they are able to share more information about this case. 💖
