From what I have been able to gather from the news, he did this just before the lawsuit was due to be heard.
From what I have heard it is because the company was not giving retirees and workers fair stock shares, and they also felt that too much was being taken back from them by the company. I can find no legal documents to support this so take it with salt.

Does this not show just how fragile life really is? None of those people thought today would be the day they died. So tragic.
