Re BBM
Good point about the height of the handle. Im now wondering if the boy could even reach the handle on that Van. If we had exact dimensions of the height of the handle and height of the boy then with average arm length of a child that old we may be able to guess if the height of the handle would be reachable.
The news yesterday was coming in so quickly I am not sure if I caught whether they found him in the area behind the front seats or not. And we would have to know the make and model of the van which I don't know if we could even determine that from the pictures we saw of the Van in the distance.
I suppose its a mute point because there would always be the possibility that he jumped up to try to reach handle so its probably not worth trying to figure any of the dimensions of vans door handles.
Has it been reported where the mother and her ex boyfriend went during the time Titus went missing? And was Titus the son of the ex boyfriend? TIA.
I was wondering if there was any connection between the grandfather's home and the home where Titus was found, according to this source that is not the case:

“At this point it’s too early to determine exactly how he got out of the house and how he ended up where he was,” Medley said. “That’s why the investigation is going to continue at this time with the highway patrol, FBI and Iron County Sheriff’s Department working in cooperation.”
He added that at this point there appears to be no relationship between the van’s owners and Tackett’s family. He also noted that the boy’s death appears to be an isolated incident..."
If someone put Titus in the van (and I think this is what most likely happened), that was pretty gutsy to just walk up to a house, open someone's van door, and place a deceased child inside, with dogs running loose on the property...didn't they bark? The van was parked literally right next to the house (Collins/72), which doesn't appear to be very large, and the house is set back off the road a ways. The rural folks in my area are always aware when someone approaches their property, especially at night. However, if I were someone that lived at that home, or frequented the home, I wouldn't be worried about those things.
Then I got to thinking, do we really know that the van was parked at the Collins/72 house when Titus entered it, either himself or by someone else putting him in it? I think it's just been assumed that the van had been parked at the home all night. What if it hadn't been? What if the van was somewhere else when Titus entered it? To me it actually makes more sense that it WASN'T parked at the home under the homeowner's watch, unless of course it was someone in that home or familiar with that home that put him in there.
I'm just thinking of different scenarios, IF Titus entered the van at a location other than the Collins/72 home. For example, if someone driving the van was visiting a home two or three doors down from Titus's gf house, it would be more believable to me that Titus would wander out and find his way into the van at that short distance. Or, if someone driving the van happened to be out running the same "errands" as the mom/bf, Titus could have been slipped into the back of the van unnoticed. I'm not blaming anyone, just thinking of other possibilities. It's likely that the van really was parked in front of Collins/72 the whole time, but imo that doesn't look good for the residents of that property and/or owner of the van. Especially if there is no known relationship between Collins/72 residents and Titus's gf/family.
Anxious to hear the autopsy results!
Oh my goodness, Poor little Titus. I have a three year old boy who doesn't quite get yet (thankfully) how to open or close car doors. His 4 year old brother on the other hand.....god help me.
Anyway, I feel that this case bears some resemblance to the Brendan Creato case that happened late last year in NJ. He was just a bit older, supposedly got out of his father's apartment, walked over a mile by himself and just "laid down and died" at a park. It took the coroner quite awhile to come out with a COD. But now his father has finally been arrested and I from my recollection, they are alleging that he killed Brendan because his teenager girlfriend did not like children. The similarities I am wondering about are how these little boys supposedly got out of the house on their own in the middle of the night, walked quite a while in pretty cold weather, and were found deceased soon after they were reported missing.
RIP Titus.![]()
random question, is killarney lake frozen over?
JMOHas a map been made of where he went missing and where he was found? I'm wondering if he supposedly walked down a road or across a field?
Wondering if where he was found was driven by on the errand his parents went on.
Poor little guy. I have a hard time believing he would make it off the front porch in those temps before going right back in.
