That's what I figured. And does the Argosy have concealed parking lots too? Does it have hotels, do you know?

Yes, the casinos in the area operate 24/7. I personally never went to the argosy, but I went to Ameristar and Harrah's fairly often (1/month or so). They have 24/7 security, cameras, ect. I heard rumors of hookers doing business at Ameristar, but I never personally witnessed it myself.

LE should ask Cerner to review their security footage at their Cerner Oaks campus. The Cerner Oaks campus is right north of the Quicktrip on N Oak Trafficway. That would at least rule out if she went up that path, which I don't know why she would. I used to work there and I knew that have security cameras there.

You might suggest that to the tipline. Any small thing could break the case open.

I go to Argosy all the time....cameras everywhere and cops too.

I may give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

5) It is very atypical to get pulled over on 26th street. It is more common to pull someone over on Burlington. There is plenty of room to pull over. If she was heading north on Burlington, my only suspicion is that she there to get gas. There isn't much else for a 20 year old to do further north of QT. You have to be 21 to get into Argosy.

1) You need to be 21 to get into the casino, not the hotel.

2) I was indeed young once and I have younger relatives in that age range and fake ID's are still a thing.

3) There is on the record crime that goes on outside the casino and in the hotel and several accounts of larger scale drug deals that include all 4 counties cooperating.

4) The jurisdiction aspect likely applies to street cops, but is that the same as with narcotics? because as I said, I have seen several cases already that point to cooperation, one at argosy.

5) Is it crazy for me to ask if a narcotics officer might have pulled her over?

6) wouldn't that explain why police might not want to divulge she was a CI? Might there have been Narcotics chatter on the scanner? is that why the scanner recordings for 4:30-10:30 am have been pulled?

North KC only has about 4,000 residents but has tax revenues from the casino boats, etc. So the Police and other City amenities are tax rich compared to other cities. Police officers per capita are so much different. Which is why they do more stops and can hang at QT's and actually do more than other counterpart metro areas. In an ongoing investigation many times the scanner feeds are pulled from Broadcastify etc.. There is personal information even for others that should not be out in the media. Much the same reasons that scanner chatter here at WS is restricted to the "basement" sections and only discussed the to protect the rights of those not named as a suspect or POI.

Yes. She said she needed gas and he followed her there and watched her pull in.

Playing off your post and thinking out loud.

But the officer didn't just pull her over, he/she followed her from the traffic stop with (apparently) the police car lights still flashing. Waited for her to pump gas, with the police car lights still flashing. Quite the spectacle. Toni pulls out and the police car lights were still flashing. That police officer made their presence well known. That must have been embarrassing for her.

This was Oct. 19, 2015; the intersection stood out to me for obvious reasons.

http://fox4kc.com/2015/10/19/driver...officer-who-pulled-him-over-in-nkc-calls-911/

There was a person on Reddit who posted photos of a dark car he saw recently in the Target parking lot in KC. It wasn't a police car, but it looked like one. He said the driver was driving around the parking lot flashing his police/type spotlight around.

The person who posted the photos was encouraged to report it to LE which he did.

Where was the Target where this occurred? Can you provide a link?

Never mind, I found it. It was the fourth result down when I Googled "reddit target parking lot spotlight police."

This vehicle does not match the description from October 2015. It looks like a former unmarked patrol car that was purchased and someone possibly just having too much fun with it.

I'll go back and try to find it. It's in the Toni Anderson thread there.

I got it. See above. Not sure if the link would be acceptable here or not. :)

Thanks.

The person said that it was the Olathe / Overland Park area. The Target in this area is where he saw the car.
Here's the photos he posted.

So odd that the images don't have one with license plates.

If you are gonna snap all those images, how about get the plates??

Was there ever any closure to this case? If not, who's to say this person didn't just go silent for a while to avoid being noticed.

I'm not sure about that but there have been people arrested for it in the KC/NKC area. These are all from the first page of a google search, FYI.

August 23, 2012 Beware: Man Impersonating Police Officer Robs, Assaults Women
September 25, 2012 Kansas City Man Charged As Police Impersonator
May 3, 2013 Mo. man charged with impersonating police officer
August 19, 2013 Police impersonator charged, victim never notified
March 6, 2015 Police impersonator sentenced for sexual assault
October 19, 2015 North Kansas City police searching for fake cop (same incident I posted a link about above)
July 20 2016 Man charged in Kansas City police impersonator case

I don't believe this is what Toni came up against that night, but the exact intersection appearing in that article just stood out and I figured I'd share in case anyone wants to look into any of these perps.

Yep, this right here would probably make me want to take my GPS tracker out if I was in her shoes.
