Could be the case but the cost of books and money needed for the week may have been more than Toni would have from tips that night and a date for sex. Not all prostitution pays well. If she was prostituting with customers from Chrome, I doubt she was making all that much money for sex after work. Would just depend what kind of date it was. You would think she wouldn't bother driving far for a little money but maybe Pete and Toni were low on funds.

Lets face it and admit we don't know what happened to Toni that morning and most anything is a possibility.

I'm still going back to Pete Jr. thinking this was an abduction and not thinking she had a wreck. Why Abduction?
You would think if Pete Jr. did have a good idea of what happened LE would have already checked that out.
Do we even know LE is telling us the truth? Maybe they are baiting someone. Is this a cold case and if so why hasn't that fact been announced and video released? Also where's that PI the Anderson's were going to hire? Maybe we'll get this info on the next interview given by the Anderson's but I'm thinking it's going to be more of the same. If the Anderson's are still say Human Trafficking and the FBI isn't investigating then I would say they're guessing just with hopes Toni is still living.

Because "she might have had a wreck" won't generate donations on 🤬🤬🤬 the way "she was abducted and I need to hire a private investigator " will.

A

2) Did she say she was going to meet friends AT the Shady Lady or FROM the Shady Lady?

I think the better question is what was she going to do with those people? Seems like a really obvious question, right? We still haven't seen ANY answer to that, and should be soooooo simple to ask/answer.

sketchy....

You could just as easily ask why a bank teller wouldn't make a date for sex with a customer and meet them after work.

There are tons of reasons not to. I would think that it could cause problem customers.

From an article about stripper myths:
"... through my own experience and research, I found that the vast majority of strippers don’t work as prostitutes..."
https://www.bustle.com/articles/151418-9-myths-about-strippers-debunked-by-a-former-stripper

When I considered she may be prostituting was after I saw her two profiles, one for being a sugar baby and one for a sex cam. When I put all three ways she was making money together, I considered she may also be prostituting.

Chrome advertises themselves as a strip club. lol

Mrs Anderson is avoiding saying Toni was anything but a server because of embarrassment. When the public knows you have lied then it's a big possibility they don't believe all you have to say. Not the best for her to lie about what Toni was doing for money but I do understand why she would.

Yes, Chrome calls itself a strip club. Which is why I was surprised to learn the women working there don't strip. lol

They advertise "beautiful dancers" and "bikini girls."

Weird that you're working so hard to make a liar out of Ms. Anderson.

It's weird to me Liz is still saying Toni was a server and not a dancer. She may be in denial but I say she's not saying Toni was a dancer because it's embarrassing to her. That's the reason she keeps saying what a good home she comes from. It's her own insecurities causing her to be lying or in denial.

Very sketchy. The Shady Lady is known for drugs. The boyfriend says she was going to a gas station and it was said she didn't show up to meet people at the Shady Lady and they were worried about why she didn't show up. Lots of talk about the last text and Toni being pulled over, after that a friend (dancer at the Shady Lady) makes it known someone tried to pull her over and run her off of the road, a fake cop impersonator. Talk about the J's, a meeting to buy pot behind a QT and now nothing from the Anderson's or Sgt. Caldwell about any of this. Well he did supposedly say Toni told the Officer, that gave her a warning that night, she was on her way to meet friends at the Shady Lady. Wonder if that Officer told Toni it was way past closing time.

Believe it or not, they sit around and talk. Perhaps consume various substances together. If she was going to meet friends at the Shady Lady, that's what they do. They "party."

Which is weird, because initial reports had Toni's friends saying that Toni didn't drink or party.

  • #828
Anyway, having thought about this some, she turned onto W 26, which is what one would do to use the ATM. It looks like she was looking for money. Either for a buy or to leave town. Only reasonable explanations.

I have to say, though, I've been thinking, "what if she was going to buy school books later in the day off of craigslist and that's why she needed cash." You just never know, I guess... there are all sorts of possible fringe explanations. But I think the most reasonable explanations at this point are that she was either looking to buy or travel.

I think she was bringing something to them...

I took these notes from a now deleted video/article that likely aired on 1-18. The reporter was a (light skinned) middle aged black man. This could be referring to an atm outside or the pump. It seems unlikely that they would not have looked at the footage by then.

Detectives told him there were two attempts to use Toni's atm car at this gas station. Brian says police aren't sure if that means Toni tried to use her card outside or not.

I really hope that all this talk about Mrs. Anderson's feelings towards her daughters profession is finished here. This is not a relevant point and unless a person knows her personally and has been told these things by her, they shouldn't be talked about. It all assumption. I would not want to come on here as a mom of a missing daughter and read this stuff. Seems like a real pissing match to me- whether or not she was a "stripper" or a "server" whether or not her mother knew what she did. Is this really important to dissect whether she was embarrassed or not? Her daughter has been missing for 45 days.........

"I was asleep at the time um..she was, she was getting off work it was just like any other night, you know, i just thought she'd come home. She had left work at 4 at 4:11 and she was adamant about going to a gas station."

A few questions before i add my thoughts.

Is he answering a question(s)?
Is he speaking, using his own words, Free editing stage, and not entering, or using the language of another? (parroting back)

For example

Were you asleep at the time she went missing/left work?

"I was asleep at the time um.."

This is entering the language of the interviewer, and not choosing his own words. Deceptive people of answer this way because it's easier, they don't have to think on their feet, thus aleviating the stress lying cause's.

"I was asleep at the time um.."

So if these are his own words, we should note the order in which he speaks. Order often shows priority, and his priority is to tell us he "was asleep" Unless he was asked, why does he have to tell this needless information, that is, if he is alibi building.

Along with this keeps, (for me) the BF the top of my list.

Sanchez says others are questioning whether her working as a server at an adult night club played a role in her disappearance.

Bottom line. It's a person,it's someones daughter. It's my girlfriend . I just want to find out what happened . i want a conclusion to everything.

This is not expected, he reduces her to an "it". He uses the possessive pronoun "my" which is good., but prefixes with "it's". This extreme distancing language something we don't expect a BF to say.
Better still would be to use the pronoun "she". Even better would be to use her name.
The question is why is he distancing himself from her.
Were they involved in shady dealings and it went pear shaped.? Or is it more nefarious?

Key questions I would like to see answered:
- was Toni in the habit of pulling her insurance tracking device for any reason?
- do police know she visited any particular place near Parkville, like the casino or her bank?
- where the heck was the last ping?

"Investigators know that Anderson was driving in an unfamiliar area."

That tells us she went past Parkville, doesn't it? The area around her bank sure wouldn't be unfamiliar. That article is so confusing. I sure hope the Crime Watch Daily show on Thursday clears some of this up.

If you're at a Commerce ATM there would be no reason to go to another one or a Commerce bank on a Sunday morning.

The only way she went to Parkville to bank is if her personal bank was *not* Commerce. That is, different from her parents.

I don't believe her bank was in Parkville, by the way. That makes zero sense. You live downtown, your bank is downtown.

I believe she did use the drive-up Commerce ATM in NKC. Timing puts ATM use directly after the traffic stop. Officer Snapp said she pumped gas at the QuikTrip and left. I've been assuming she tried her ATM card at the pump, but it is far more likely she used the ATM outside J.D.Byrider, given that she did signal a right turn.

One big problem with that though. Cops say she went directly to the QT. Snapp appears to be lying because they are now saying she left at 449. Her card was declined 433 and she didn't pump gas until 448? You don't really believe that, do you?

What we know for sure is that she turned onto W 26. That shows an intent to use the ATM outside the J.D.Byrider, in my opinion.

Beyond that we don't really know exactly what happened. There have been so many conflicting reports about her specific movements that I give up. I consider these facts to be reliable, however:
Traffic stop was initiated at 4:25 on W 26 Ave.
A card was declined somewhere at 4:33.
She texted at 4:42.
She left at 4:49.

I have to admit, I'm rethinking things a bit. I think PokeyMeansBusiness is correct in that Toni turned left onto W 26 because she planned to use the drive-up ATM out front of J.D.Byrider. In fact, I do think she used that ATM after she was pulled over and before going to the QuikTrip. I would bet money on it. As Toni drives away, she puts on her right blinker, indicating a right turn onto Burlington.

Can you explain why he didn't turn his lights while Toni was driving on 9 if this was a typical traffic stop? I'm just following up on your work. If she needed an atm, then why did she pass two that were just south of the QT? "There's something rotten in NKC."

"He'll come across the street and do a u-turn and turn his lights, park directly behind her."

I saw your question about the lights before and I don't really have an answer. I also don't find it very significant, though. I guess I should rewatch the video...

As for the other bank ATMs, I will say that I personally *never* use an ATM that isn't specifically owned by my bank. Will those other ATMs even work for other banks? I don't think so. And I don't use generic ATMs (which those other two are not) because the fees are too high. The fees are not posted (on the machine)! How do you even know what the fees are? Screw that.

Just looked it up: that QuikTrip does have an ATM, and it is for UMB Bank. Does that mean people with other Banks' cards can use it?

Most ATMs especially at gas stations in my experience you can use cards from any bank-there just may be fees associated with them from the owner of the ATM and possibly your bank. I guess it depends on who it is but if I wanted cash I couldn't see it being worth traveling to another bank unless it's very close because the fees you pay at not your ATM are not that high where it's worth the trip and what you would spend on gas anyways just seems pointless. On the east coast we have Wawa gas stations which have a deal where there are no fees when using their ATMs no matter who you bank with. Don't know if there are any places like that around KC..

During the first couple seconds of the surveillance video, where the narrator says, "he'll come across the street and do a u-turn and turn his lights on and park directly behind her," I can't see anything going on except for a car across the street, on E 26. Maybe that's where the police car came from? They then cut to the traffic stop, and the police car is parked behind her with its lights on.

So we don't really see where the lights were turned on. If we take the narrator's word for it, though, it's after the u-turn. That may be less than ideal on the part of the officer, but I don't see it as suspicious.

Regarding the ATMs. I can't find much info on inter-bank ATM card usage. As far as I know, bank-specific ATMs can only be used by that bank's ATM cards. I have to admit, that info may be wildly out of date on my part. I've never really cared before, frankly. I only use my card with my own bank's ATMs. Personal policy. I'm not signing up for a mystery fee.
