If you're at a Commerce ATM there would be no reason to go to another one or a Commerce bank on a Sunday morning.

The only way she went to Parkville to bank is if her personal bank was *not* Commerce. That is, different from her parents.

I don't believe her bank was in Parkville, by the way. That makes zero sense. You live downtown, your bank is downtown.

You really want to use a ATM downtown in KC at 4:30 in the morning? Good luck...

How does anyone know the ATM situation? How is that info credible? Only LE really knows. All the rest is social media BS.

There was a source that said she banked in Parkville. People here have added that her driving on Burlington/26th is consistent with trying to access the commerce bank atm on the other side of burlington..

I think LE has leads. They are investigating their leads. I think they have a prime suspect or two. There is a lot of info here. Video, bank action, location info... phone records, lots of contacts in the clubs.

According to MSM, they have no leads. That could change with the icloud data however. We will have to see what they find.

They could have a prime suspect, yet it still takes weeks or months to lock a charge.

Weeks or months with no body? There is very little chance of bringing justice without a body, much less a car. It takes years to build a no body murder case. Weeks or months is being a little optimistic. If Kara Kopetsky can go 10 years without a charge, there isn't a chance Toni can bring justice faster.

I believe she did use the drive-up Commerce ATM in NKC. Timing puts ATM use directly after the traffic stop. Officer Snapp said she pumped gas at the QuikTrip and left. I've been assuming she tried her ATM card at the pump, but it is far more likely she used the ATM outside J.D.Byrider, given that she did signal a right turn.

I too have questions about why she would bank in Parkville while she lives downtown KCMO. Doesn't make sense but possibly there is an explanation that would tell us more about why she was in Parkville that morning, if she was.
I wanted to ask Alissa a lot of questions after reading her reply but I figured she wouldn't give out any more information so I didn't ask.

As in most cities, there are different banks with branches all over KC with 24/7 ATMs. Instead of Commerce Bank, with whom - to my knowledge - there is no evidence Toni had an account, I'd lean toward Bank of the West, since she DID do banking with them. Although they have a 24/7 ATM in Parkville - which would correlate with a Parkville cell tower ping - it was pointed out (by AceDetective) that it would make more sense to bank downtown (near her loft), where Bank of the West also has branches.

How do you know she was with Bank of the West?

So, okay, this may explain what Toni was doing that night. She needs cash so she drives 5 miles past the Shady Lady to the Commerce Bank ATM in North Kansas City. She may have been allowed to access the family account to get money for books. The transaction is declined. She still wants cash, so she drives a further 6 miles to the Bank of the West near Parkville. That bank has drive-up ATMs.

If she does bank at Bank of the West, it's probably because that was her bank in Wichita.

Is it possible she disabled the tracking device because she wanted to speed? She has to do a fair bit of driving, and people are probably waiting for her somewhere, so she wants to go fast.

LE sure won't... look at the silent people who knew her.. I think KCPD will solve this. I believe they have already talked to the perp... noW they need to backtrack and find a lie that perp told them.
I don't think much else will ever come out of this case as far as info being released. It will eventually fade as other things will, inevitably, happen around the area.

You may be onto something here. When you consider the alert for Kansas City and icy roads, it really doesn't make much sense anyone would be out to kidnap, rob or even make a date with Toni for sex or drugs. What about a wreck, driving fast and lost control of her car. How thoroughly has LE searched the area where Toni would have driven? We don't even know, we just know it has been said they searched an area around English Landing Park.
Possibly the phone ping gave them confidence they have searched the area good enough but what if her car is in water and they've missed it? Or in a wooded area? If I were Pete Jr. I'd still be searching that area.

Regarding your first couple sentences.. i would argue an icy night when lots of people would stay home might be an ideal time to kidnap someone. Likely to encounter someone wrecked or stuck, unlikely to have witnesses.

I encourage everyone to keep hope. There was a missing person's case here that seemed to sit still, completely stuck, for a lonnng time. Then one day, a body was discovered (hope that's not the case) and many, many months later when it looked like it would never be solved, it turned out the police had been running DNA matches against incoming perps for other offenses and they turned up the right guy.

Sometimes they don't bring up charges if they think their evidence is too flimsy and would allow the guilty party to walk free. They wait 'til they can bring the hammer down. That can take time.

In Kansas City that night and morning you would have Police, tow trucks and city crews out clearing the roads, not a good time to kidnap or rob someone. Less people just out driving and more of everyone I mentioned.

I don't know that someone attempting to commit a crime is always necessarily concerned with all of the logistics involved with committing that crime. For example, last Friday night (2/24) in Little Rock the LRPD cop that works as security at the Arkansas Revenue office located in a mid-size (but EXTREMELY) busy strip mall in a very busy area of Little Rock was jumped by three men as she exited the revenue office. The officer was in uniform and the robbers were attempting to steal the bank bags the officer was carrying out of the revenue office. The robbers had a gun, which was fired at the officer. The officer returned fire killing the man with the gun. The other two suspects fled and their abandoned vehicle was found up the road from where the robbery/shooting took place.

My point is, criminals clearly don't think about what they're doing a lot of the time. Who in their right mind would rob an officer in uniform, right outside a state government office, in the middle of a strip mall, in front of dozens of (if not over 100) witnesses, and countless video survellience cameras - not to mention the cars that passed by the scene as it occurred that had to have numbered anywhere from 150-200.

Chris Hansen interviewed Toni's parents and friends almost two weeks ago. They haven't announced when it will air yet, but I expect an episode of Crime Watch Daily (Hansen's show) to be aired next week focusing on Toni's case.

Anything is possible, I figure the odds are less because of the ice storm that someone robbed or kidnapped her and got rid of her car too. We don't know what LE knows so everyone is speculating. The car being gone just adds to this being even more confusing. Doesn't seem like it would have been a random crime. At Least AceDetective came up with something new to consider. A wreck on an icy morning and Toni's reckless behavior, sure does make a lot of sense. Speeding, possibly texting while driving and just the fact she was out driving around when people were asked to stay off of the roads, shows how a wreck is very probable. Hopefully LE knows something that we don't and have a good idea what has happened to Toni.

It was supposed to ice but it never happened. There was nothing to clear. Salt trucks were out in full force but that's it. I do imagine LE would advise people to stay off roads but it was not actually icy that night as the forecasted "ice storm" never hit.

Oh good grief, no it wasn't as bad as expected. road crews had been out treating roads for hours. I have a YouTube video showing a wreck in KC because of the roads being slick and a truck with a plow seen clearing the roads. Not sure how to post YouTube video on this forum, I'll try to post it.

I don't think embedding will work so I'll post it this way

How is this pertinent to the case?
I was simply stating that the "ice storm" as predicted never happened. People not from the area might not know that there was not, in fact, a huge ice storm.

Read the previous posts and possibly you'll understand, possibly.

It's easy to imagine a wreck but with her cell phone on her they surely would have found her.

---

Here's an interesting case. Two women, who were 29 and 43 when they went missing over 20 years ago, have now been found alive.

They claim they didn't realize they were reported missing. Yeah, right. It was in the news just a year or two ago that they were still searching for them. There is such a tremendous waste of police resources in these cases, that there should be some kind of law.

I'm not certain how accurate tracking a cell phone really is, I've read differing info. here's an article saying how it is not always accurate.
https://www.techdirt.com/articles/2...ven-close-to-accurate-everyone-falls-it.shtml

In missing person cases they can file charges if you've vanished so that you don't have to pay your debts or to get money like from an Insurance policy etc. Guess if you leave because you want new surroundings and they can't prove you did it so that you didn't have to pay debts or make money off of it you haven't committed a crime even if you worry people sick and LE took it upon themselves to investigate.

Isn't believable these two sisters didn't know people were searching for them, extremely selfish on their part but not a crime. Wonder how many people vanish on purpose and then LE investigate and spend time and money?
