I don't understand. It se as though she researched "how to disappear" on her computer. Then did just that. Why does this case keep going on when others that really ARE missing can't get any attention? I just don't get it.

It is very difficult to know what was on her mind at 5am. What is clear is that she was not ready to go home after work. She must have been sober or not obviously impaired because the cop did not pursue that. What time did LE start looking for her? If it was 24 hours later that car could be anywhere.

I believe there is famous crime/mystery author by the name of Toni Anderson and things like "how to disappear" were associated with the author, not this Toni.

Here's somethings I would like to know. Liz Anderson stated in an interview that they or she was 99 percent sure Toni didn't have a car accident. Liz tells us she thinks Toni was taken and it is Human Trafficking. Thing is as far as I know the FBI are not involved in Toni's case at this time and isn't the FBI who would investigate Human Trafficking? In the last interview by the Kansas City Star the reporter writes that LE feels Toni had a car accident and was in an area she did not know and is wrecked on a desolate road. They say they have searched extensively but have not found Toni. They also say she could be a victim of foul play but they have no evidence of that. They'll keep investigating for foul play.
We have no more searches by Toni's friends, boyfriend or LE. There has been problems between friends of Toni's and even accusations of involvement in Toni going missing. Is this normal in this kind of case? One friend that was very involved doesn't seem to be involved any longer, very strange.
If LE thinks it's very likely Toni is out on some desolate rd, why wouldn't her boyfriend and friends be looking, searching every day, Corridor 9.

Would Law Enforcement give false details to the public in a case like this?

As I mentioned above, I actually DO see an accident as being as likely of an explanation as her being assaulted. I live in a rural area and while it's not average, by any means, it's certainly not unheard of for wrecks and missing persons to be discovered months and years after the fact.

The thing that I think is really strange about the police theory, though, is that they are publicizing that hypothesize. To me, that seems unconventional. Unless you've found evidence that there was a collision or have some other sort of circumstantial info that points to an accident, I don't know why you would publicly lean toward that conclusion over another.

Unless they are trying to mislead a perp in some way.

Or you are constantly being pressured for an update. OR, being pressured to update people, and make sure that the public knows "no one that she works for/with is connected with her disappearance". That stood out out to me since they basically know nothing else as fact.

The accident theory has always seemed silly to me. The weather wasn't that bad that morning (I was out in the Northland during the same time frame).

In addition, I've heard "she was fatigued and in an unfamiliar area" which seems strange to me. If you work at a club, and are used to those hours, being out driving between 4-6am isn't going to be difficult for you. As a person that works nights I'm out all the time between 2-7am driving. Also, she posted previously that she enjoyed driving during those times.

Anyway, is an accident possible? Absolutely. I just don't think it's the most likely cause of her disappearance.

If Law Enforcement has talked to a person or people that have confirmed they had a meeting or were suppose to have a meeting with Toni that morning, then a wreck would seem the most likely scenario for Toni's disappearance.
I think this could be the case. We need to know why Toni was in North KC and Parkville, without knowing why, anything is possible.

Toni told the police officer about the Shady Lady. We don't know if she said coming, going, friend or friends to him. It is my understanding the friends, which friends I down know, said there was not a plan to meet.
At the end of the day she was last seen no where near the Shady Lady.
Her where abouts certainly open up speculation.

If the police feel there was an accident then why not ask the public to be on the look out for anything out of the ordinary on roads??!!
If this is their determination, why no searches anywhere near gps or pings??!!
I understand police only have so much man power to focus on this but what about friends, family, the public??!!
This case is just so frustrating!

This is frustrating and because of the way people close toToni are acting, I'm thinking LE know something and have told people close to Toni. Either that or her friends sure have an idea of what happened. All I can come up with on what's taking place right now.

Can someone remind me exactly where the police searched again with sonar and equipment.

My understanding of where LE searched was around English landing Park in Parkville. The river, the wooded areas and I hope along corridor 9 which is where they mentioned she was driving.

Was this reported or mentioned on Facebook? I'd like to relook at exactly the area where police used drones and sonar and swept the river. I can't find it anywhere. Help!

I think The spokesperson, Darin Snapp for LE reported it but I have no idea when, I'll take a look and Google it.

In the last KC Star article they talk about it.

http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article136092253.html

-On three separate occasions, Kansas City police, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, used sonar, aerial cameras and other high-definition devices to search bodies of water and other areas. They also conducted extensive searches near the Shady Lady club on East 12th Street because that is where Anderson told the officer in North Kansas City she was going to meet her friends, Caldwell said.-

I don't recall ever reading specifically where the searches took place.

I think if someone were truly trying to disappear, somewhere in their research would be the advice to cover your tracks and leave no evidence that you're trying to disappear.

Thanks Bailey! I can't find exactly where either. I really really really want to know exactly where they did all of this hi tech searching at.

The civilian searches didn't even search the area she was last seen until a week later. Which is puzzling to me. Why wouldn't you search that area FIRST. So that's what in some ways makes me suspicious of the police in that they should have been pointing civilian searches there or in parkville -- not that supposedly we are saying they likely knew from the very beginning she pinged there?!?! (still not sure if thats true)

But if it's true, just think about that. Law enforcement seemed to think wasting time all over the map was helping something?

I don't get it.

Just about everyone in this case is being deceptive, including Law Enforcement imo

Again, I think this Toni Anderson is being confused with best selling Crime Author Toni Anderson (www.toniandersonauthor.com) who may have commented on a book about disappearing while researching a book or her own. Please correct me if I am mistaken, but if not, we can eliminate the idea that missing Toni researched how to disappear.

Exactly how it seems with the unsolved murder on my street - LE knows "who dunnit," but with ten witnesses that are either loyal to the shooter or afraid of his gang... LE just watches, waits and charges every witness for every infraction until someone faces a long enough trip to state prison that they take a deal. Seems like the same thing here - a couple wannabe "gangstas" not wanting to "snitch" and a bunch of "friends" that don't want to end up in a shallow grave.

LE would give non specific info or no info if she was, in fact, a CI in any regards.
