I wish I could see time stamps or have the ability to copy at the current time, but I can't with this vid. She (Missy/Neighbor) just said "I found out that he was renting the home and he was kinda behind on his rent". So that answers that question. I feel bad for the homeowner to have his place boarded up like that. I suppose once LE gets all they want he can have access to it again?

The drone flying is interesting too.

What is the big deal about the cadaver dog? Do you need it to signal/mark/flag to establish some kind of probable cause? I assume if you are handling a cadaver dog, you already have a warrant. The barrel is right in front of you. Open the darn barrel and look for yourself regardless of what your k9 buddy thinks about the situation.

That’s not how it works. The dog gave some kind of signal and moved on. That’s what it’s trained to do. You open it at the lab. IMO

Absolutely. If we look at what he is charged with that is pretty simple. I don't mean that to lessen what he did to this victim, but how long does it take to gather the evidence that she was held and sexually assaulted?

Why would they be sifting through dirt and taking days to search this location. This tells me some evidence might be buried or hidden in a way that they can't just photograph and bag it up. Any time they are sifting through things it makes me think someone was dead, buried, dismembered, burned, etc.
This is all obviously speculation at this point; but between the time dedicated toward collecting evidence after entirely boarding up the house - plus, the footage of the cadaver dog pawing at the barrel - I would wager they are collecting and uncovering far more unique DNA than they probably anticipated finding. I would have a hard time believing that a man who literally built a room for this and had a collar with a padlock readily available probably isn't experiencing his first rodeo.

I was talking to my husband about it, and he was sharing some information on the use of salt in large barrels like that to break down human remains. He said, "think about what salt does to meat," and it just instantly hit me how absolutely grotesque this man is if former abuse comes to light.

Also, from a psychological standpoint, it would make sense that he doesn't commit these acts on someone he would consider a prospective partner. Crimes like this are too specific, targeted, and intentional for that. I would even guess someone of his profile (only from what we've seen so far, so take this with a grain of salt), could carry on a normal life on the surface while simultaneously commiting these "niche" crimes. I mean, think about it, he ready WAS doing that to an extent by having his kid(s) at home, much less a valued equal partner.

But oh man, to be a fly on the wall if they interview his ex wife.

Interesting vids from neighbors (Missy who lives behind him facing his garage) and pizza delivery man. He delivered for a few years and said he's invite him inside to get paid/tipped. He also said it wasn't uncommon to be let in like that with some people, but what was odd (my words) was that he gave off an odd vibe and was silent. He said usually people will talk to you once they invite you inside to pay for the pizza.

The only time that I have seen it happen so fast was in the Ariel Castro case-the Cleveland kidnappings.

The houses are close, it is so sad no one noticed, or heard anything to report? The house next door, on right, looks boarded up too?

What surprised me was how obvious they were being. I can see porch sitting, window watching, but dragging lawn chairs out to the street? Dang!
Yes!! It's the chairs that get me!

She is quoted as saying "her friends didn't make it", so I am speculating that LE is looking for evidence of others no longer alive. You may be on to something!!

They have a front row seat to what we are watching on TV and YouTube  ......

The dog can tell you if cadaver material was in the barrel even if it was subsequently removed.

Well isn't that interesting... the neighbor across the street with a view of the back of his house and driveway said he never opened the garage door all the way up. He'd open it about a foot and crawl underneath. THAT isn't something a normal person would do. It's obviously something done by someone that wants to hide something. I say that from experience because if my garage is a bit messy (OK, so a lot messy. lol), I won't open the door up all the way either, like if I'm taking out the lawn mower or garbage can, but I DON'T crawl through a narrow opening, but I'll duck! lol
LOL, we still have all our moving boxes and craziness thrown everywhere in our garage, so my husband is usually self conscious about opening ours, too! I've accepted our messiness in all its glory and open the garage in hopes it motivates my husband to start stomping on boxes, but I digress, lol.

But could you imagine regularly CRAWLING into it?! Like you know there is more than just a simple mess happening!

I don't know but I'll tell you what's in the blue barrels. That cadaver dog just flagged one in the vid. It's hard to tell, since the yellow tape is in the way, but his paw is on the barrel. He scratched it with gusto. We should be seeing more serious charges brought up against him IMO.

The vid had the option to copy the link grayed out so I couldn't copy it. The vid is the one at the top with LE talking in the link below. It's 47 seconds in. That looked like a "pretty darn for sure flagging" done by that dog. :( It caught me by surprise and made me jump in my seat. The woman is super lucky to be alive. It doesn't appear that her friends made it. :(

Oh my! Thank you for sharing.

probably a user error, mine. I agree with you when that dog did that my stomach just sunk . There is going to be so much more to this story.
I watched the video. Right at the end, the officer says it's going to take multiple days "due to the nature of the crimes." (I took that to mean multiple victims.) MOO

For me, you can have multiple crimes against 1 person. However, with that said, I REALLY believe there are several deceased victims from the statement the victim made about how others "Didn't make it".

But what I think they had at the time LE made that statement, they only had the 1 victim with several crimes that he made against her. All MOO.

IMHO thank goodness she found a way to escape. This will be complicated. I can't imagine that this is the first and only time TH has attempted or done something like this. Hopefully, we will find out more. I wonder if he was ever considered the "creepy" neighbor guy or one no one saw much of?
He might be an Israel Keyes sort. Many people that knew IK personally were absolutely stunned when he was arrested for the abduction and murder of Samantha Koenig. That includes the woman he lived with at the time and had been dating for many years, as well as the mother of his child. And he brutally assaulted, tortured, and killed God only knows how many women (AND men)! We’ll likely never know the extent of his depravity.

Side note — I’m always surprised how little IK is discussed in the world of true crime.

Yes, wasn't he charged with 3 different counts upon the one lady? Those are "crimes plural", IMO.

From listening to a couple of interviews from the lady across the street she answered both questions. She has lived there 3 years, he, longer. He was home a lot working on cars in the driveway (her house is across the street from the back of his house so facing his garage). He also only opened the garage door about a foot or so off the ground, never all the way up. He'd "roll" in or out. She just figured it was broken and wouldn't go up any higher. It never entered her mind that he was hiding something nefarious inside.

He was also outside a fair bit playing with his son and dog, playing with his drone, and with his son while be played on the trampoline he got him.

As for being the "creepy" neighbor guy... he was definitely not friendly and "very to himself" and "a little weird". She even called him "mountain-man-ish". She went over one day to introduce herself and he pretty much barked at her and was NOT friendly in the least. She got the hint, left, and didn't attempt conversation again.

A neighbor saw something drop off the back of his truck (a "huge thing of hand sanitizer") so he retrieved it and went to his front door. He knew the guy was home because he had just seen him come home with his kid so he knew he was in there. Dude wouldn't acknowledge that someone was knocking at his door. The guy left it on his porch and was walking down the sidewalk when TH finally opened the door with a gruff "What! Why are you here!?". He explained he saw something fall off his truck and returned it. TH just picked it up and slammed the door closed.

Pizza guy said he'd always ask them to come inside for the tip (several people do that so it's not unusual) but it was "weird with this guy". Weird as in a "bad vibe, quiet, people usually invite you into their living room because they want to talk to you. He'd be silent after I walked in".

Yikes on several bikes.

This is going to get worse, I fear.
Just how many victims were in that house at one point?

Because if you already think there could be a body in there, having it confirmed by the dog prior opening it up in a controlled environment would keep the forensic evidence intact. Also depending on what has been done to a body, the officers may not be able to tell what it is, for example if acid has been used or other gruesome methods, they'd have no way of knowing what the remains are. On the other hand, they could simply be looking at a barrel of cleaning fluid with nothing whatsoever in it.
