So sad that they get to go home and see their children and Heathers family will not.

I live in the area and it's TM being out bothers me more than SM.

More on my thoughts about the hearing today.

I got frustrated because the defense got to lay everything out (and so, of course that's what the media will focus on) -- then when the prosecution started - initially the judge was like 'take all the time you need' - and opened it up for her to respond - then he stopped her. I don't think she did a very good job today. I think they were ill prepared for the portion of the law the judge was going to look at and rule on.

This makes me wonder if there will be a trial in May........or if there should be one. To move forward with what now seems to be a much weaker case and risk them being found not guilty because of that - gosh - I dunno..... Then Heather would never get justice if they are guilty.

Edited to add: This case started out with a different judge - and a different person presenting the case. The differences in how things were presented at the first bond hearing to how things went today - was so dramatically different. :(

I suspect the M's are more in danger than you are (unless you're worried about their safety?).

PeterThomasFan I so agree with you. LE letting father drive the car away was a huge mistake! Wonder what other mistakes they have made that we are unaware of? After today, their case seems very weak. This couple are not that smart to commit the perfect murder. IMO. What went wrong in collecting evidence?

I do think TM will be the one to land herself back in jail. When she realizes that her husband is going to live separate from her, I believe her temper will take over.

I went to PTL the week HE went missing. Then, again after the first major search. I can tell you that I personally saw a small amount of debris strewn around where HE's car was parked. It certainly wasn't trash from the search party as it looked like it's been there for a bit. At the time, I didn't think much of it. But, then I got to thinking. If LE did a thorough search of the area, wouldn't they collect every bit of trash and item within a 1/4 mile radius from the crime scene? It made me wonder how thorough LE actually was?

Knowing what we know now, there could have been more clues at the landing that were possibly overlooked. Even the first time I was there, I remember seeing distinct tire tracks at the entrance of the landing. I figured that LE took pictures and made plaster casts. Guess I watch too much Forensic Files to assume this is what they did.

As far as the past search efforts go, I don't know what to say? They obviously weren't very effective (with exception of the bones being found at Tidewater Rd.). I do respect what CUE Center does and the help they offer but, I didn't get a great feeling from them after they were here. And, by some of the comments made by others that helped in the search.

I really think that LE needs to regroup and start over from scratch. Some heads need to roll after today IMO. :runaway:

I don't think she's stable and I worry about what she'll do.

WMBF just showed TM walking out but said SM won't post bond until tomorrow!? He called for the bond hearing but he doesn't have his bond ready.

Also the Caisons didn't post Sidney's bond (...yet?)... interesting...

You think they're going to come after you or anyone you know?

No, not at all, I just know I'd get very nervous if I saw them! I'm somewhat of a scaredy cat!

I got the impression that his parents are helping him. But who knows ...

I really don't know why people are so frightened of TM or SM being out on bond. FGS they're being monitored! No one besides H.E. had any reason to fear them before 12/18/13, but now people are scared? The only ones who have any reason to be nervous are the Elvis family and the judge set up conditions to protect them and they will be ok.

Seriously, what do you all envision is going to happen that any of the area residents needs to be scared of SM or TM?

Weird to see an accused person out and about? Ok, sure. That happened in my area with someone who killed their wife and hadn't been arrested yet. He was spotted in stories and such. Big whoop.

I'm not scared. The question I answered asked if any of us would be creeped out if we bumped into them (paraphrase) and the answer, for me, is a resounding YES. Full-on heebie-jeebies.

Were you around and did you read TM's social media posts when this all first started? The threats from her and her family to the searchers and Heather's supporters?

As far as being worried about the community...that doesn't concern me at all. I think LE should be more concerned with keeping watch on the Moorers as the emotions in this case are simply running back up to a fever pitch now as they had been slowly fading while awaiting the trial. There are honestly alot of people in the community here that Love the Elvis family and I can easily see someone taking it upon themselves to do something that they think might help the Elvis'.

ETA....i was around for the entire thing and saw firsthand her posts on social media. She's a big mouth and a narcissist in my opinion....but i don't think that translates into a danger to the community. Many of us WISH that she would start her mouth running, but she is also under the gag order....so unless she wants to go back to that jail cell my bet would be she'll be silent and not taking any chances of being revoked.

Did he post a photo brandishing a gun that was directed at his detractors?

If the state doesn't have a reasonable (and realistic) expectation of being able to prove guilt to 12 members of a jury, they'd be better off dropping that murder charge right now and preserving the case for the future when/if they do have enough evidence. They only get 1 bite of the apple (assuming no hung jury) and they better be sure they have a strong enough case or they are going to waste a lot of money and the possibility of justice.

Yes, absolutely it feels weird to see a person accused of murder out and about, especially with how big this case is here. I'm glad you were able to be comfortable with it in your town, for me, right now it makes me uneasy.
Also, this is a small area, and this 5 mile radius is concerning because of where they all live and normally frequent- they will need to change their shopping preferences (which I guess is not really a big deal though after being locked up for so long). Not sure how that kind of thing is enforced. I guess honestly, I am thinking of both families and how this affects all of them.
