No need for a new thread, IMO. We've been discussing all the bond-related hearings on this one.

Isn't tomorrow's hearing regarding Obstruction of Justice and Indecent Exposure?

(That is what I have on my trusty WS Calendar... but can't remember where I got the information from...:giggle:)

Yes, and Kidnapping.

Yes, and Kidnapping.

The kidnapping charge interests me. If HE was killed at the Landing, how can they be charged with kidnapping?

If she had been loaded into their truck and taken against her will, I can understand kidnapping, but with what has been laid out, I don't.

So, I am anxious to hear those details.

Will Sidney even be there since he didn't pay any bond?

Kidnapping is not just physically removing a person from one location to another against their will. It also includes depriving the person of the ability to leave a location to go to another.

JMHO based on previous cases I've followed.

I was thinking that too. Last hearing, pictures started popping up the day after court. I wonder if hoppy will attend? Hoppy's coverage is better than the news reporters.
Hoppy and that dreamy Marshall Staton. Wonder Twin powers, activate! :please:

What time is the hearing? TIA.

Well, spit. The Horry County Public Index says the hearing is scheduled at 8:30am and it's 7:46am where I am, they're an hour ahead of me and I'm picking up nothing on Twitter. What the hey?

No tweets by anyone when I searched on Twitter....last ones were 11 hours ago by random users?

I just don't get why this isn't being covered by local media, but living in Florence, SC for the past 17 years, I can understand...:maddening::

Maybe it was postponed but the Public Index hasn't been updated? I'm not picking up anything anywhere. Not a peep.

http://www.judicial.state.sc.us/selfHelp/FAQGeneralSessions.pdf

The following FAQ tells the schedule of trials. Roll call is the same as bond returnable. On that day, the judge will see whether the defendant has a lawyer, and will set a schedule for the case. Their next appearance will be when they enter their pleas.

I think it was either postponed, or the media doesn't think it will be interesting enough/necessary to be there.

c. If a Defendant has an attorney at this time, the defense attorney may notify the Solicitor’s Office five days in advance of the bond returnable date to waive his client’s appearance in court. If notice of waiver is not received by the Solicitor’s office, the Defendant must appear but may leave with the instruction to make contact with his attorney.

Thanks for looking, OkieGranny. Letdown....

ETA. So, I guess at their next appearance they will enter a plea? I suppose we wil have to rely on periodically checking the pubic index to find out when that is. Is there a general timeframe for entering a plea after being charged and the bond hearings?

It's 9:00 my time, 10:00 Horry County time, and nothing. The hearing must have been either postponed or waived, or local media totally dropped the ball. Bummer.

yea I wish there was a way we could find out what happened....postponed, waved, etc.

Since all the players are gagged, the media should follow up. Should. Whether they will is anyone's guess.

You know, IMO, there is definitely enough interest in Heather's case for the media to write some sidebar articles. I would be interested in, for instance, a piece on Sidney during his younger years in Summerville, insight from neighbors, classmates, teachers, etc. Surely, someone remembers what he was like. There are other angles as well - Tammy's rock n roll era... Do any band members recall Tammy during those years?

Anyhow, just my two cents. So hard keeping this case alive for Heather. Her birthday would have been Monday. 21. Sigh. What a darn shame.

The bond hearing on March 17 was an astonishing rollercoaster ride, and Tammy's rehearing on May 23 was a total trainwreck. Both made for great press, so I don't see any reason why local reporters would skip this one. I tend to think it was not held, for some reason.

I checked the Public Index again, and it still says the hearing was scheduled for 8:30 this morning.

Thanks for checking the Public Index!

Odd that it would still be on the Index... If it had been postponed, cancelled, rolled into the other hearings, etc...
