supposedly the fish were one species. A variety called "drum fish".
If this was two separate incidents, that is one doozy of a coinky dink that they happened within a 36 hour period of one another 30 miles apart. I almost wonder if the fish got sick and the birds ate at some dead ones, thus getting sick as well.
Anyone know if redwinged blackbirds and european starlings eat carrion? Are they opportunistic eaters and is my theory even logical?
