Jack Fisher was last seen in Long Beach, Mississippi in late July of 1994. He told his parents he was going out of state, possibly to Missouri, to help flood victims and has never been heard from since.

Jack's brother, Richard, was a fugitive at the time for fleeing child sex abuse charges from 1990 and was arrested in 2005. Police discovered he was assuming Jack's identity and had all of his brother's personal identification in his possession. Richard is not a suspect in Jack's disappearance, however.

Jack was employed at a mobile home business in Long Beach at the time he went missing. He previously resided in Dunedin, Florida and is a United States Army veteran. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Accused of sex abuse, Richard Fisher fled in 1990. He was found last month, using the identity of his brother Jack. But what happened to Jack?

By CHRIS TISCH of the Tampa Bay Times
Published April 30, 2005

"...His co-workers knew him as Jack. So did his neighbors. His driver's license and Social Security number came back to Jack Fisher.
But a fingerprint analysis showed it was Richard Fisher, officials said. Cobb booked him into the Pinellas County Jail on the 17-year-old sex abuse charge. Bail was denied. He is set to finally be sentenced on June 6.
Now, just one question remains: Where is the real Jack Fisher?"

Source: https://www.veterandoe.com/missing/jack-fisher-missing-veteran but the links to the actual articles provided on this page were dead. At least for me anyway.

A comment on this page also stated how it didn't make sense why basic information was not provided about Jack. If he is a veteran, there should be vital statistics on record...at least a birth date etc.

I have the impression that Jack, if he wasn't murdered or kidnapped, started a new life, perhaps with someone he met in Mississippi...
And if not, rest in peace, Jack.

I don't get how they don't know his date of birth. Surely his brother knows and if they investigated his disappearance they could easily find out his date of birth. If he had a drivers license that would also say his height and weight. You would think they would search for his SSN. He is not listed in Namus
