MHP issues Silver Alert for missing Macon man
James "Sonny" McCleod last seen Tuesday morning

The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert on Wednesday for a missing 71-year-old Macon man. James "Sonny" McCleod was last seen about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Macon, MHP said. McCleod may suffer from a medical condition that limits his intellectual capacity, MHP said.

The remains of a Noxubee County man who came up missing April 15th and was found June 21st has been officially identified.

When family members of 72 year old James Sonny McCleod first heard of the discovery of remains in a wooded area not far from his house, they were still holding out hope, those remains were of someone else.
