Mineral spirits, actual mineral spirits are hard to buy in my area because everything has gone low odor.

Chemical analysis will certainly be a trail to follow if that is what was used.

I know nothing about Mississippi or what is sold there so it may certainly retail differently there.

Regarding Sociopaths/Psychopaths-- too true. Have one in the family and watch him charmingly manipulate or verbally bully family members to get what he wants.

Do you ever stand off to the side and wonder to yourself how it is that YOU can see it so obviously but other people just cant?

Thanks, don't think we can post theories based on that then.

With all due respect, recovery is a broad term that does not necessarily imply an addiction of any kind. I have worked in this field and a person can be in recovery for any number of reasons. One of the working definitions of recovery is:

: the act or process of returning to a normal state after a period of difficulty

Her father has already been quoted as stating she had been in a battered women's shelter and was getting her life back on track and had learned her lesson on abusive relationships. (Her period of difficulty, according to the definition) i think the reason people associate the word "recovery" with addiction is due to the fact that we hear it most often paired with drugs or alcohol, but as a professional with many years of counseling experience under my belt, we use the term recovery for many other reasons. Hope this clears up your confusion!

I was under the impression that the poster who wrote the long theory about recovery was referring to drugs. That is why I was wondering if it were fact. I am sorry if I wasn't clear. God bless you for the help you give to those in need. :)

I don't remember exactly what the poster meant. Lol. I was defending my post because I would never imply JC was addicted to anything. I didn't want you to think I would try to impugn the character of JC. I would never do that. Sorry, I thought your post was directed at me :)

Well, I'm a sibling so I have seen much more of his bad behavior than my parents or grandparents plus people tend to see only what they want to see. Ya know?

We don't know what other battles, if any, she may have faced in addition to her prior bad relationships:

<snip> Rev. Larry Kilgore told around 300 mourners Saturday that Chambers "fought some battles, some very tough battles," but that she was committed to improving her life before she was killed. He shared the feelings of many who wondered why someone would kill the teen. "Our hearts are hurting, our spirits are burdened," he said.

Chambers' father, Ben Chambers, said his daughter left a battered women's shelter a few months before she was killed. "She was getting on the right track. She had learned her lessons from being in bad relationships," he told NBC News Saturday.

One trade that uses a lot of mineral spirits is painting....wood finishing...cabinets,,, furniture...to name a few. Any of these kind of tradesmen would have on hand. I had not thought of this as a possible... interesting, and if used would certainly narrow the field for suspects. More so than the use of gasoline or charcoal lighter.

Where is the actual 911 call?

Nearly every time something really rotten happens like this, the 911 call is released.

It would be of great interest to listen to that 911 call.

If she was wanting to write a book about her life at the tender age of 19, I cannot begin to imagine the battles he is referencing. My biggest battle at 19 was within myself as to my ever-changing major at college. I was pretty sheltered. I didn't start becoming fully aware of the world until I worked at the women's shelter. I no longer work there, as I own my own business, but I volunteer as a counselor now and also commit hours to a suicide prevention hotline. My eyes are wide open now. If JC truly was pulling away from old friends as a result of her getting her life on track, that makes her murder even more upsetting.

Why would a 19 year old girl be in a battered woman's shelter rather than with her parents?

No worries! :) I just don't want us to get in trouble for speculating about rumors or removed posts.

Also car or vehicle detailing and restoration.

My guess is a '89 Ford F150 with no muffler.

I'm guessing a pickup with some sort of front end protection, as well as no muffler -- that is, if McClenic's observation is worth a grain of salt. However I discount McClenic since he has personal family reasons for interjecting his "tip" into the investigation. IMO.

Perhaps she would be "safer" somewhere unknown to those who were considered to be her "bad relationships".

from Foxfire "There seems to be the one common denominator; methamphetamine use/abuse. From Pastors to Politicians, seems that no one is exemt. Meth appears to be the primary catalyst for psychopaths to act out their fantasies, while creating psychopathic tendencies in otherwise normal personalities..imo"

Interest in sensational cases that involved violent behavior recently focused my attention for some research on meth and violent behavior. I too thought that those with socio/psychopathological tendencies will have antisocial behaviors enhanced by the meth use. Found some significance in the study to support meth use and violent behavior despite some literature reviewed not finding this. Interesting that some of the more outlandish crimes involve meth use. Certainly meth may not be involved in this case, however. Supposedly meth labs have reduced in my area in SC- but still hear about local meth arrests and labs. Large national study ADAM, shows large growth in meth use in Sacramento and Denver currently.

In general, it is my understanding that such places are generally 501(c)3 organizations that provide biblical foundation, social support, future planning, sense of purpose, accountability and are non-intervention and non-medical. Their mission and vision is usually to help women ages 18 and over who have been incarcerated, deal with addictions, behavioral problems, self-harm, depression, or other issues in life. The women attend free of charge and are generally sponsored by local churches. They live together in a house and can only leave the house with a supervisor for a specific purpose and limited period of time.

Can anyone tell me how Jessica's dad got a job working at the sheriffs department without doing a back ground check on him?

Could he have testified against others? If so, maybe someone just got out of jail?
